Bunaken Cha Cha Nature Resort

The best thing about Bunaken Cha Cha is the staff. They are utterly delightful. The house reef has nice snorkelling. There are two dogs at Cha Cha, they are very playful and good when you miss your own dog. The food was very good too.

There are many steps to walk up and down, this is hard with arthritic knees. The resort is a lot more basic than the price would suggest.

Fantastic location at Bunaken and special thanks to the host team for the warm welcome and sharing experiences. The food by Agnes was also a highlight of our stay.

Everything was perfect, Agnes's food was delicious and nutritious! Moel is an outstanding snorkeling guide and all staff members were friendly, helpful and kind. It was a wonderful time I have spent at the resort! Reiko's team is tops.

Cha Cha is in a perfect location for snorkelling off the beach but we have never stayed in a resort with the most friendly of staff who care so much that you enjoy every aspect of your stay. The food prepared by Agnes is Masterchef quality, she has a real passion and talent. Luna the dog is the best tour guide for low tide exploring and Reiko is so kind and interesting to chat to. I was also touched by how caring the boat driver/dive room man was especially knowing I wasn’t confident in the water he looked out for me. Thank you all at Cha Cha for a fabulous stay - we will be back!

Location is superb. Quiet side of the island. No neighbours. Beautiful views. Great staff, warm and personal. Felt like I was a member of a family. Excellent meals. Snorkling/diving on this side of the island is fantastic.

Tolle Lage, sehr schönes schnorcheln mit vielen Schildkröten am Hausriff. Super Essen, sehr abwechslungsreich. Man fühlt sich wie in einer Familie aufgenommen. Der Staff ist top. Ganz besonderen Dank an Agnes, Cindy und Mul (unser Schnorchelguide, er sieht einfach alles) und die vielen anderen, deren Namen wir nicht kennen. Wirklich toller Service. Danke

Condition of dive eqipment and boat: Really run down boat and gear -> please change your partners, that dive company does not match the rest of the services...

Het was een geweldige ervaring van begin tot einde! Agnes die elke dag een heerlijke maaltijd op tafel toverde, tot de gezellige babbels na het diner. Prachtige dolfijne tour en snorkel trips gedaan, nog nooit eerder hebben we zo een mooie onderwater wereld gezien. De accomodatie zelf is ook een paradijs op aarde met prachtig uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Ons verblijf was van begin tot einde gewoon perfect zeker met hun enorme gastvrijheid!

A slice of paradise in the best location on the island! We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful villa. Huge thanks to Reiko, Agnes, and their amazing team—they were incredibly helpful and made our stay truly memorable. The location is unbeatable—right on the most stunning private beach in Bunaken. It’s peaceful, serene, and perfect for relaxing and recharging. You really feel like you’ve found your own little corner of paradise. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and opened up to an incredible sea view. One of the biggest highlights was the food—every meal was delicious, thoughtfully planned and cooked with love by Chef Agnes & her team. You can truly taste the care they puts into every dish. We joined snorkeling and dolphin-watching trips arranged by the villa and were lucky to see an abundance of marine life. We also rented a bike to explore the island, which was a fun and easy way to take in the scenery. After checking out other beaches, we can confidently say that the one right in front of Cha Cha is the best. By comparison, Liang Beach was unfortunately quite dirty, with lots of trash and boat traffic—not ideal for swimming. As for drawbacks, there really weren’t any major issues. The only small thing was that the air conditioner couldn’t be used at night due to power limitations—but opening the windows and using the fan worked just fine. It’s all part of the charm, really—this villa is tucked away in a quiet, remote part of the island, and we absolutely loved that. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Bunaken.
