Wonderful stay in Chania

The location is a great advantage, 5 minutes to the public beach, close to taverns and restaurants. 5 minutes to the bus stop, from where you can get to Chania in about 15 minutes. The room has a fridge, a kettle and a balcony with a clothes dryer. A welcome bottle of water and a sachet of Nescaffe.

There was never anyone at the reception, only on the day of arrival. After 4 p.m., the hotel is locked, and the guest has a key to the door. No breakfast, although in the booking option, it is possible to add breakfast for an additional fee. This information is false. Cleanliness needs to be improved. The bathroom was not well cleaned after previous guests - dirty shelf under the mirror, dirty, splashed walls, unwashed toothbrush cup, and coffee mugs. Cleaning consisted only of emptying the garbage bins every day , and towels and bed linen were changed after 3 days. The floor was never vacuumed/swept/washed, so there was a beach sand and crumbs throughout the entire stay. The bathroom was never cleaned. The cleaning lady speaks only greek. The air conditioning has a blocked "swing" option, so it blows on one bed all the time.

Our stay was excellent in Alexandra Hotel, the hosts were very kind and helpful, and also flexible. The room was clean, the interior has a cozy Greek atmosphere - it was good to return here every day after the excursions. The balcony is a nice feature. Kalamaki Beach and services are all nearby.

The Irinis street where the hotel is situated is a bit dirty
