Tegal Bamboo Cottages & Private Hot Spring

The bedding was generally clean and the hot pools were okay.

There are a few problems. We only ended up staying one of the two nights we booked. There is zero security. No padlock, no way to secure the door when you’re not present. The doors don’t really even close properly. While there were three other vacant cabins available, we were given one with a completely broken door to the toilet / shower area from the outside of the cabin. They did try to fix it when we pointed this out to them, but the doors still didn’t close properly afterward. There was a cigarette butt in the shower area and there was a very minimal amount of toilet paper provided. The tea / coffee containers were basically empty and the small fridge was unplugged when we arrived. The location is not ideal. There are very few places where you can walk for food etc and you will hear all of the road traffic overnight and heading up Batur as the turnoff is very close. As others have said, there are flies absolutely everywhere. The staff, while reasonably friendly, are generally disinterested and the property lacks a lot of basic maintenance. We didn’t use the shower but understand that they have cold water only - which is not made clear on the listing. The bathroom bamboo slats have quite large gaps so, especially at the front cabin with the broken door, you will not feel like you have much privacy. We ended up leaving on the second morning despite having paid for two nights. There are nice views of the mountains but that’s really about all you will get.

There was this lovely hot natural pool that I really enjoyed. The guy/taking care of the property was super nice and available and also the mountain trip with Nyoman was great I really appreciated it.

The air conditioning wasn’t working and at night is super cold inside.

Pet friendly dengan area rumput yang cukup luas. Plunge pool dengan natural hot spring nya juga sesuai harapan kami, air hangat nya pas dan ukuran pool nya cukup nyaman untuk kami bersantai sekeluarga. Owner juga sangat ramah, jadi walaupun mobil kami tidak bisa masuk sampai di parkiran penginapan, kami di berikan shuttle dan di pinjamkan kendaraan untuk keluar di malam hari. Terima kasih!!

Menurut kami, yang bisa di tingkatkan adalah shower di kamar mandi bisa di posisikan lebih baik untuk mandi air hangat.

L’accès est un peu délicat

Il posto è immerso nella natura e a due passi dalla strada dove si possono trovare market e ristoranti. La vista sulle montagne è pazzesca e la vasca con l’acqua calda termale esterna è il vero pezzo forte della struttura! Abbiamo passato qui le nostre serate in pieno relax sotto le stelle.

Il problema generale di questa zona di Bali sono le mosche. Ce ne sono veramente tante, non è un problema di questa struttura, si trovano ovunque.

Endroit avec une ambiance relax. Le bain d'eau chaude fait un bien fou. La situation est parfaite pour profiter du lever de soleil depuis le mont Batur.

On est proche des cultures et les paysans commencent tôt le travail. Ils parlent assez fort et le logement n'est pas du tout isolé. C'est du bambou mais c'est comme être sous tente. Ne pas laisser de nourriture dans la chambre car nous avons eu la visite d'une souris 🐁 elle a même fait un trou dans mon sac à dos! Dès le coucher du soleil, les grenouilles se réveillent et elles coassent durant toute la nuit! Prévoyez des bouchons d'oreilles si vous avez le sommeil léger. Malgré cela, je retournerais dans cet endroit car c'est une belle expérience.

Petit dejeuner simple mais tres correct. Proche du mont Batur. Personnel discret mais tres efficace. La source d'eau chaude pour chaque chambre.

On peut commander des repas mais ils arrivent froids car pas prepares sur place.

The hot spring is amazing, didn’t expect to use it but we did multiple times. It’s located really good and we booked a tour from there, the guide was really amazing!
