The Old Dairy (Chute Forest)

Helpful host, very clean and comfortable and great location.

The ground floor double room was large, comfortable, clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean, good shower, and everything worked. WiFi was reliable. Kitchen facilities enabled simple meals and breakfasts to be made. Location was quiet and very charming. No long list of rules from the hosts.

Not so much “didn’t like” but markers for guests so they know what to bring. You will need to bring your own tea, coffee and milk, and anything else you want to cook and/or eat including cooking oil, condiments etc. You’ll need to bring coat hangers and shower gel.

Should be an iron and ironing board on hand and a hoover or dustpan and brush

Very quiet, hosts very responsive and flexible for check in/ check out! Scenic location, out of the way and has everything you need for a work trip/ basic stay!

Facilities basic but comfortable, has everything you need for a work trip. Only negatives: tv in loft dated, can’t get phone signal, limescale in kettle (which was sorted on the day mentioned), missing bin parts and only one towel provided instead of 2 bath towels so was awkward when washing/ drying hair and they were quite abrasive on my skin. Shared kitchen area has the staples you need but would not be happy downstairs with other guests in the small space as requested by the host.

Awesome place to stay if you're like me and love rural open space peaceful fresh air. No traffic, no ambulances, no sirens, complete bliss. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Will be revisiting soon Thankbyou

The large room, good quality furnishings, good lighting, a spacious bathroom with a decent shower and ready availability of hot water. Hosts were very friendly and immediately responsive to any requests I had. There are lovely walks close at hand in this very quiet, country area.

Various small things disappointed a bit: no hand towel to go with the bath towel, kitchenette fridge/freezer rather small & interior light bulb had failed, insufficient space in kitchenette to store own food items; kitchenette overhead tubular light not working - Anglepoise lamp alone provided insufficient light. Noise in the evening from upstairs apartment occupant (partly due to thin flooring) was also sometimes a concern. Also noise, quite late, on one or two evenings from host using washing machine and spin dryer. On my final night host was in upstairs apartment at midnight, ? making up a bed for private guests. Again noise/disturbance to contend with.
