Bloomfield Farmhouse and Eco-Resort

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, it was very clean, provided heated blankets on beds, and the food was very good!

The only negative could also be a positive. The property is not in Darjeeling town. It’s a 45-60 minute walk uphill to get to town. I don’t think this is a reason not to book it! The owner is very quick and helpful with arranging affordable rides to and from town. And because it is in the country side it’s quiet and clean. A beautiful and peaceful place!! You can even walk to a tea garden and a waterfall!

Breakfast and diner were excellent. We had a fantastic view of mount Kangchenjunga right from our window. Arun, the manager made our stay in Darjeeling very enjoyable. He took care of finding very good guides for us and was very kind and helpful. A wonderful, quiet and peaceful place to stay.

Beautiful spot with amazing views from the front rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff, we hired scooters and used the taxi from the hotel to get into town and back. Amazing experience all in all

As we had imagined, this is a beautiful place to enjoy the natural environment and the home food prepared by people who care. They are very friendly and are always ready to address any needs, whether it is food or transportation. One can freely move around the property and enjoy the greenery and peaceful surroundings, including the Kanchenjunga ranges. On the whole, it is an unforgettable experience.

Compared to all the positives, the negatives are insignificant. The signage to the farm could be better, especially considering the fact that there is no proper pathway leading to the farmhouse and one has to walk through some steps through the local settlement. We felt cold in the room, especially as we are from a hot and humid place. The water from the faucet of the wash basin is freezing cold.

We were warmly welcomed by the team at Bloomfield and treated to a fantastic dinner made from fresh produce from their beautiful garden. The rooms and beds were huge and very comfortable. The place is a little outside the city but the team called a taxi for us and also arranged a taxi to NJP station when we checked out. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There was a kettle with tea in the room so we could keep ourselves topped up. Our host took us on a walk around their garden and showed us the surrounding tea gardens. Everything came with a warm smile and hospitality. Arun was a fantastic host. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
