This hotel is in a wonderful location a tree and peaceful environment very tasty brekafast ❤️ we were very happy during our stay

We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad bij Eagle View Villa Ella! Het personeel is ongelooflijk vriendelijk en gastvrij, waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. Het ontbijt was werkelijk het beste van al onze verblijven – vers, uitgebreid en met zoveel zorg bereid. De kamers waren mooi, brandschoon en comfortabel, en het uitzicht… adembenemend! Het was juist heerlijk om net iets buiten Ella te verblijven: de rust, de natuur en de panoramische uitzichten maakten het extra bijzonder. Bovendien rijd je op weg naar Ella langs de beroemde waterval, wat de ervaring nog mooier maakt. Absoluut een aanrader voor iedereen die wil genieten van comfort, hartelijkheid en een stukje paradijs in de heuvels!

A little hard to get places but that’s also what’s good about it.

Beautiful view and well set up room. Romantic spot for a couple.

Location is a 30min drive via car from Ella township and can be difficult to find a driver willing to drive that far, we didn’t find the hosts particularly helpful in organising transport to Ella for a day trip. The host also required a cash payment for our stay which was not advised prior to our departure.

This is where you stay if you want the best view possible of Ella. It’s simply amazing!!!!! Our balcony (from the top apartment) faced this glorious view and it was more beauty than one could take in! The room was spacious, clean, very comfortable and new. Everything needed is there including a small fridge and sitting area. Shower was great with hot water. Breakfast patio facing the glorious view - serving great breakfast. Bed was big and comfortable. Service was perfect. And the quiet was lovely with only jungle noises. Also on a clear night the sky was full of stars and on a clear morning the sunrise was incredible (we felt no need to climb at sunrise given the balcony view.) A rare find in Sri Lanka, truly a gem.

We knew in advance it is 12 km (half hour drive) from Ella town so this didn’t bother us. We felt it was worth it for the views.

The view from the Eagle View Villa is spectacular. Communication with staff was good and the breakfast delicious!

The most amazing view in Sri Lanka. We had the room at the top and could watch the sunrise off our private balcony every morning. The room is super clean and comfortable with an epic shower. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the breakfast is by far the best we have had! They also had the cutest puppy to play with named Tiana. The villa is 30 minutes out of Ella centre but is absolutely worth it for the view. We hired a scooter off the owner and enjoyed our ride in each day. You can also easily organise a Tuk Tuk for a ride in each day. If you like amazing views, complete peace and quiet, and to be out of the bustle of the city this place is for you! Just don't expect heaps of restaurants around as you'll have to ride for 5-10 minutes minimum to eat dinner.
