Una cuesta muy empinada, no puedes subir ni en tuk tuk. Son sólo unos 100 metros, pero la rampa es durita, ojo personas mayores.

Lovely place perched on a hill to see all of Ella Great views of the train passing by/ waterfalls/ beautiful. Staff were so kind, helpful, nothing was too much for them. Helped with tuk tuks / bus timetables/ local sights. They kindly offer laundry / and cooking classes too. Very friendly. Felt very safe. Great breakfast outside your room in the morning. It was all wonderful.

It is high up on the hill. So if mobility is an issue you’d need to ask them to help you with their tuk tuk. But you do get awesome views.

Das Team ist wirklich sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie haben uns mit allen Anfragen geholfen und sogar meine Mutter versorgt, als sie etwas krank war. Das war wirklich aufmerksam. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung mit frischen Obst, u.a. aus deren Garten. Die Lage ist zwar steil am Hang, aber so ist es bei fast allen Unterkünften in Ella und wir waren sehr schnell zu Fuß im Zentrum. Man hat nachts sehr ruhig schlafen können und der Blick ist wirklich sehr schön.

Wir nehmen an, dass die Unterkunft über die letzte Zeit sehr in die Jahre gekommen ist. Die Zimmer sehen bei Weitem nicht so aus wie auf den Fotos - alles wirkt heruntergekommen und nicht repariert. U.a. ist Schimmel an der Decke, die Bettwäsche ist auch sehr in die Jahre gekommen, die Klospülung sowie die Dusche funktionieren nur so halb und die eine Lampe funktionierte nicht. Wir waren sehr glücklich, dass wir nach der ersten Nacht in ein anderes Zimmer wechseln konnten, was immerhin etwas schöner war. Jedoch könnte man durch einige Renovierungsmaßnahmen und liebevolle Details in den Zimmern bereits einiges verbessern.

The brothers here are absolutely amazing- nothing is too much trouble for them. They gave us free breakfast, did our laundry, dropped our bags into town and gave us lots of recommendations for things to do in Ella. The views from the property are absolutely stunning and the rooms are amazing- massive beds, hot showers and very clean. It was honestly our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka and couldn’t recommend it enough.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Eenvoudige maar ruime kamer met klein terrasje, maar vooral met prachtig zicht op bergen en waterval. Rustig gelegen, maar toch slechts enkele minuten wandelen van de hoofdstraat. Geweldig ontbijt en super vriendelijke eigenaars voor wie niets te veel is.

Inrichting van badkamer is basic, maar dat stoorde me niet.

We had a great stay at eminence Ella, all the staff are very friendly and helpful, they can organise tuk tuks for you if needed which is a bonus. The breakfast was really good and changed slightly each morning which was nice. It is a very central location and can see trains going past from the rooms. We even did a free cooking class with one of the staffs mums who was great and showed us how to make loads of different curries! Would definitely stay here if we came back to Ella!

The only downside of the property is it is at the top of a very steep hill which some tuk tuks struggle to get up, but other than that it was all really good

Really appreciated the great breakfast and our laundry being done for us. The views are lovely when sat outside the room.

I know so many others have mentioned the steep hill up but it really is. Just be aware if you are booking that some cars can’t get right up the hill. I’d suggest some additional signage by the entrance. We arrived but were confused if we were at the right place. Also heard the same from our neighbour in the room next door to us.

Dicht bij her centrum en een prachtig uitzicht. Het personeel is mega behulpzaam. Onze was werd gratis gedaan. En elke ochtend kreeg je je ontbijt bij je kamer. Wij hebben ook een Kookcursus gedaan hier. Dat was erg leuk.

This guesthouse is absolutely lovely and beautifully maintained, with a view that is simply breathtaking. My room was spotless. I arrived a bit early, and I saw the team cleaning the room thoroughly for 45 minutes before I checked in. The location is perfect, close to the station and town but still peaceful in a natural setting. The service is incredible. Aku, the host, gave me amazing tips. I joined his free cooking class, which was a fantastic experience, and I learned so much while enjoying delicious food. Aku also did my laundry for free, and in both cases, I left a small tip because it felt right. I absolutely recommend this place: it’s an unforgettable experience!

If I had to mention a minor con, even though it didn’t bother me, the property is at the top of a steep hill. However, Aku has services available to bring people up, so it’s really not an issue at all! Just ask him
