Tea Forest Lodge

We stayed three nights. Siva was kind and very helpful. It felt like a five star service experience. We had a big breakfast and a a lovely dinner, all vegan, all very good. If we knew it was so good ( we ate there our last night) we would have had dinner there every night. The location is also amazing, a 20min walk to nine arch bridge and a little longer (25/30) to Little Adams Peak. A ten minute tuktuk to centre, while sleeping in a luah green environment with birds all around. We did use earplugs for some dogs noise in the night. The city has a lot of dogs roaming around everywhere, not just here. So don't think twice and stay at this place, we will definitely come again. Thank you for a lovely time, Greetings Elmar & Bianca

This was our 6th homestay since our arrival in Sri Lanka and the best out of all our stays. My wife had a small medical issue and our host Siva personnally called the Doctor, made an appointment, organized transportation,and negotiated the cost for us. Breakfast was always fantastic and never the same meal! Dinner was also fantastic and never the same meal with the Cook adjusting the Spice level to each individuel. The staff were always friendly and satisfied our every desire. We highly recommend Tea Forest Lodge and we will stay there during our next Sri Lanka Trip.

I really appreciate the behavior and approach of the staff. Very helpful, pleasant. Small snack after check-in. They helped us solve any problem. We needed transportation to Kandy, we didn't want to take the train for 10 hours, so they arranged a car for a good price. The overall approach was really unique, I have to praise them a lot. They also recommended a tour of a local plantation and arranged a tuktuk for a great price. The rating of 10 is truly deserved.

It was a bit out of the center, so you always had to use a tuktuk. On the other hand - it was quiet there.

Fantastic location if you want to relax and watch the birds after busy days exploring the area. Only 10 min away from the Main Street. Great staff especially Seva, delicious breakfast

Everything . The property is very clean and quiet , the breakfast is really fresh and I think is the best breakfast I have had so far in Sri Lanka .the staff is helpful and friendly . Especially Shiva , very nice and cheerful 🙏 most importantly there’s kettle in the room 🥹🥹🥹

Our stay at Tea Forest Lodge was truly unforgettable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Sanath, Shiva, Geetha, Kavya, and Ashan. They were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and warm, making us feel as though we were staying with friends. They shared helpful tips and engaged us in meaningful, philosophical conversations. The breakfast was diverse, with fresh fruits and traditional local specialties. For dinner, you can order from the nearby restaurant "La Mensa," which we highly recommend for its delicious dishes. We stayed in the family quadruple room on the top floor, which was comfortable during the day with the fan and slightly cool at night. The nighttime sounds of nature and early-morning bird visits gave us the unique feeling of sleeping in a treehouse. The Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak were both within walking distance, making the location perfect for exploring Ella. Overall, Tea Forest Lodge exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended! 10/10.
