Tea Forest Lodge

The place is wonderful. If you open the window, you can see a lot of tropical trees. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of tropical insects is a special pleasure. Nearby is the Nine-Arch Bridge. Also nearby is the Little Adam's Peak. You can walk to all locations in 10 minutes. You can get to the tourist village of Ella in 20-30 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by tuk-tuk. Breakfasts are simply excellent, local cuisine. The guys from the hotel helped with renting a moped, for which they are special thanks!

Be careful when choosing a room, there are different room categories.

We stayed for two nights, travelling there from Colombo. The bus journey was frustrating, but all the stress disappeared when we saw our room. The place is perfect for relaxation. It's clean and peaceful. One great thing is they provide a map in the hall with all the places to visit in Ella, which was a huge help for people like us who had no idea where to go next. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially Sasi, who always has a kind, smiling face. He was very helpful in arranging transportation and guiding us to different places. He even arranged lunch and dinner for us. Cook Anna was also fantastic; the food was fabulous! The location is ideal, just a walking distance from the Nine Arch Bridge and Flying Ravana, so no need to spend on travel to visit those spots. I recommend this place to others.

One suggestion: the water pressure in the shower could be improved.

The best thing was that the staff was always there for us, they really made us feel like home. Each breakfast was different, a lot of fruit and the customised tastier that they ask you every morning.

They were feeding us more than our own grandmas!! 😍😍 (just kidding)

Fantástico lugar para alojarse, Los anfitriones son personas fantásticas ,muy serviciales y es un placer encontrar gente así cuando vas de viaje. Sin duda fue una cierto a ver encontrado este lugar.

Very friendly and caring staff. Don't forget your binoculars during breakfast, you can spot many birds. Room was clean. Good breakfast as well. Location is outside town, but east reachable wih a tuktuk. We really liked the location; not so crowded compared to Ella' center.

Nothing. Ah well, one thing; on the pictures on Booking from the outside, the Lodge looks like the Encanto house, according to our kids. They were disappointed when we arrived and the house has been painted white again 😉.. From the inside, it's still colourful, though! The picture is from the view of the second floor (family room).
