The Nelsbells Cottage

It is a lovely spacious house and it has a relaxing atmosphere. Great for a family or group of friends stay. The kitchen and cleaning facilities made me want to stay even longer to utilise it all fully.

I think the thin wooden frame (floors and walls) could bother some people. It was fine for our family who are used to hearing every sound and movement of each other.

Close to town

Property was nice and clean but due to water restrictions there was no JoJo tanks or water provided this was a big inconvenience as we travelled with 2 other couple. We could not even shower. I think that this should be known to customers when booking

The cottage is closer to town in cool and peaceful place.

The cottage bedroom did not have electric blanket. There is need for maintenance outside and inside the house.

The house itself is a beautiful Victorian style house with a wrap around balcony. It has a beautiful view of the mountain range and it perfectly situated in the town. The house has a spacious living area as well as a lovely fireplace, perfect for the cold months of the year. The gate's motor was set on manual as it wasn't working however Bianca organised a lock and key for us promptly as requested.

Although the property is good value for money, there is a lot of room for improvement. The kitchen needs some maintenance. There wasn't a dishwasher as described in the property description. There were some lamps without bulbs, or working switches. The cottage didn't have a heated blanket. The couches and benches on the balcony hadn't been cleaned which is a pity as it's such a beautiful place to sit. We ended up moving the dining room table and chairs outside for lunches as it was lovely weather. An outside table and chair set would be great on the balcony. We had some issues with the water pressure. That wasn't pleasant in the winter evening's. My dog was constantly finding old chicken bones and pieces of pizza in the garden, which is obviously used by guests after their braai's. Perhaps a check of the garden after a guests's stay is needed.
