"Homely base for the sights of Rotorua"

This is a comfortable and homely two bedroom flat under the host's house. It is on the outer west of Rotorua, however it is not a huge town so you'll be ok with a car. The hosts live upstairs and are friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. They have the best television setup we found in NZ. The house is owned by an entertaining cat. Rotorua was a highlight of our south to north road trip. I would recommend Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland about a half-hour drive towards Taupo. The Skyline Gondola is also great for the view, food, and maybe some adventure. Foodies will love Eat Street.

Not much. I'd save minor constructive suggestions for the hosts.

1. Was great to have a variety selection of breakfast cereal, oats porridge and fruit. A freshly baked HOT!! Bread right of the oven with real butter provided. I love Vegetemite so was great to that as well as Marmite for others. 2. The location was perfect, 2 min walk to the venue I was attending. 3. A drive to the city wasn't far.

Lovely weekend away. Great accomodation and hosts. Go the extra mile. The freshly baked loaf of bread is extra special. Would definately stay here again.

We had an awesome stay here! The property is warm, very clean and had all the things we needed for a 2 night stay with 2 kids and a baby. Colin & Amanda were very accommodating and lovely. The location was perfect for us - just a short walk to the netball courts and fields. Would highly recommend staying here!
