The kindness and helpfulness of Ritik Kumar and Kailash, two young smiling and friendly guys. The terrace on the ghat had a wonderful view. The food consumed on the terrace was also excellent.

The structure is hidden in some alleys from which, if you don't know, you don't know how to get out. The quality-price ratio is to forget, probably they doubled because of the celebration of those days. In fact, for that amount, I expected much more. I think it is still under construction because the second and third floors were unused with the workers.

The location and how quiet the surrounding area was

We stayed af the hotel for 6 nights. The owner was extremely professional and welcoming. The rooms are extremely small as compared to normal hotel rooms cause it's situated in the ghat area. Hot water was a issue as individual geyser not available in the room. Major issue during cold season. Sometime the water is extremely Luke warm dosent serve the purpose. Construction work is under progress above 1st floor due to expansion of the hotel. Can create a problem at times. Hotel is located in a very quiet location and within walking distance to the market area. Overall a good experience for a first time visit at banaras.

The room we booked was overpriced and the food quality is very bad. The location of the room is horrible and very difficult to reach the location as one has to go through the narrow gaali and no way to take an auto or car up to the hotel. The hotel is near the Harishchandraghat. One of the burial ghats. The smells come through the window during the daytime. The worst part is the owner is not a reliable guy. Pls avoid booking any taxi or boat ride through the hotel. They all tied up and extracted money from you. We had a horrible experience. We took a boat ride through the hotel and they charged us 750 people and no Arti darshan we ended up roaming around in the river Ganga where whereas others were all busy witnessing Ganga Arti in the evening. We also book a taxi to Sarnath. The taxi driver left us at Sarnath and he returned empty as he claimed to be late to pick up another client. However, we booked up to 1 PM. The hotel owner and taxi all together started calling us and haressed to hurry up otherwise they would charge extra money if we were late from the given time. They didn't allow us to go through the museum properly. The driver took us to the wrong temple due to having to pass us to te guide waiting over there. Altogether, it is very sad that Varanasi is such a holy place in India but Hotel Wala, Auto Wala and Boatwala are horrible and they try to extract the money by various means from the devotees who had to visit to dip into the Holy Ganga and Kashi Vishwanath Darshan. Pls, avoid Hotel Shanti IN. It is not worth it. They will cheat you.

The breakfast was good and was served hot. And the staff were really good and helpful! Appreciated the help offered by them.
