Marari Xavier's Inn

The stay was beyond what i expected.The hospitality of the entire team was priceless.I would recommend the stay in future for anyone who desires to enjoy a peaceful staycation.

Beautiful surroundings and home like feel. Loved how clean the rooms were. Ac worked very well and dining area outside was also very nice. Private beach was beautiful. Very clean. Breakfast was also delicious. Best part was our hosts very warm and welcoming family made us feel at home.

A Perfect Beachfront Escape with Heartfelt Hospitality I had the most wonderful stay at Marari Xavier’s Inn! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like family by Albert, Sunitha, and their team. Their warmth and genuine care made me feel instantly at home. The location is unbeatable—just a few steps from a quiet stretch of Marari Beach, where you can enjoy serene sunrises, peaceful sunsets, and the soothing sound of waves all day long. My room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with a balcony view of the sea that made mornings magical. The highlight, apart from the stunning surroundings, was the food. Sunitha’s home-cooked Kerala meals were simply delicious—fresh seafood, fragrant curries, and generous breakfasts that set the tone for the day. Every little detail was taken care of, from organizing local activities to making sure I had everything I needed. It’s rare to find a place that blends professional service with the genuine warmth of a homestay, but Xavier’s Inn does it effortlessly. If you want a peaceful, clean, and welcoming place by the beach, with the best hosts you could hope for—this is it. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

The family was very nice, kind and very helpful. They organized a boat tour for me, some local shopping and the 2.5 hour drive to my next location (Albert drove me himself). The food was excellent, evrything was clean and well-maintained. The room was big and perfectly adequate. The property is almost directly by the beach, there is a semi-private beach. Otheriwse it is a little remote, but since Albert is happy to drive the guests, this is not a problem. Sunitha (?) showed me some local crafts and told me about some local customs and culture, so it was an interesting and immersive experience.

- lovely hosts eager to make your stay enjoyable - delicious breakfasts - tasty food available for lunch and dinner, good value - cheap easy tuk tuk ride to backwaters at Allepuzha (Oliver's Travels group Canoe trip recommended) - clean, litter free little beach just in front of propetty gorgeous for swimming and sunsets. (At first we were confused as this is not the main Marari Beach we had expected, there are no shops or beach cafes here, they are a tuk tuk ride away to the North. However, once we'd visited the beaches at Marari and Allepuzha - both littered and agoraphobically vast - we fell in love even more with the little 'private' beach in front of this homestay. With working fishermen's cottages around there is also a fast disappearing authenticity to this area).

Nothing, All was great once we had orientated to not being on the main Marari Beach. Marari is a huge area!

Albert and Sunitha made sure we had a very easy and relaxed stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. I rarely rate a place with a 10 but this place deserves nothing less than a 10. In addition to the excellent care and lovely friendship this couple so generously give, you get an amazing private beach a few steps away. During the sunset, we walked onto the beach and into the warm water to watch the sun set. Definitely book this place if you are in the area.
