The location is very near to Assi Ghat. The room was neat and clean especially the washroom. The host is an incredible person. Will surely recommend.

This property is located next to Assi Ghat. The host is very friendly and also a skilled cook. I had a pleasant stay.

Sona was a great host. We felt instantly at home. She is great cook and provides breakfast, lunch and dinner options. We had the best chai in all of India in her home. Sona also organsied a boat tour on the ganges and a taxi to bring us the airport at a very good price. She made our brief stay in Varanasi very enjoyable and seamless. We hope to stay her again whenever we visit Varanasi.

Everything was great

Sona & her family, so helpful, so friendly..Sona has a fun, mischievous sense of humour & is a great cook too! The stairs, some people might find challenging… bed comfy. A location that’s a perfect 5 min walk to the Ganges & towards the ghats. Really enjoyed my stay here 😀

A bit of noise at night

What didn't we like! Sona was brilliant! Her welcoming, enthusiastic attitude, excellent food, and great accommodation, we would wholeheartedly suggest anyone to stay here if you're looking for a good, relaxing stay. It's just off the main road as well, so it's relatively quiet yet not too far from the river.

We had a great stay at Azure Family Paying Guest House! Sona and her daughter are incredibly nice and caring! We could check in at 7am in the morning as our train from Agra was that early and there was a room available (for no additional charge). We had a cooking lesson with Sona, making Samosas, which was so much fun! And when we left, Sona organised an airport drop off for us. The room was small but comfy and clean, with hit shower and ventilator.

Quite noisy at night.

If you came to Varanasi to have a religious experience, then simply let this host cook for you. She prepared this eggplant dish that was out of this world. She asked what my favorite Indian dish was and I told her it was bindi masala. Apparently that's her husband's favorite as well. The next day she prepared this bindi masala that was an absolute revelation. She served it home made paratha. I don't think you can find Indian food like this in a restaurant. In fact, I may never be able to eat in an Indian restaurant again without being seriously disappointed. The family here are extraordinarily kind and genuine people. If you have the chance to stay here, you should consider yourself fortunate.

What do you want, it's a guesthouse? If you want a 5 star hotel go somewhere else.

We felt really at home in this very nice guest house in Varanasi. The location is very good (close to assi the ghats) and the lady of the house Sona is wonderful. She helped us with arranging taxi from and to the airport and a boat trip on the Ganges. She learned us about Indian culture and we took a cooking class in which she learned us to make traditional Indian dishes like palak paneer and chana masala with her own delicious spice mixes. It was so interestjng that the next day we decided to take another one. She also makes great chai masala. Best place to stay in Varanasi and also if you’re not staying you can go for cooking classes at a very reasonable price.
