The room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. The daughter and son were very kind and sweet. Overall, excellent experience. I would highly recommend.

I wish I could have used the kitchen to boil water at all times for tea.

This is a homestay run by a friendly family. On the ground flow there is a kitchen and tables. A family lives on the first floor, and there are two rooms on the second and two rooms on third floors. The location is not bad, in a side street that could be quiet at times. Near is Assi Ghat. What's nice is that the inside is clean and tidy. The bed linen is also clean. There is hot water in the shower. The hostess cooks for guests upon pre-order. Everything is quite tasty. You can also order a taxi, tuk-tuk and excursions from her. When returning from the bustling streets of Varanasi, it’s nice to go inside. In general, a good ratio of price and comfort. By the way, the whole family speaks English quite well. It seems that is normal in India, but unfortunately over the last 10 years there have been fewer and fewer people speaking English. So good knowledge of English is already listed as an advantage)))

Now about the cons. We lived on the 3rd floor with window facing an side street. The window is very thin, no sound insulation at all. Since India is one of the noisiest countries in the world, the quiet lane was noisy even at night. We stayed for three nights and didn’t sleep well all three nights. Twice I went out at night and asked not to yell (talk loudly) under the windows. But since this is a problem of the country and not a guest house, I did not lower the rating but gave it 9 points. Because the family tries the best for the guests. Moreover, if you have a room with window on the other side, it'll most likely be quiet there at night. We were also on the weekend, perhaps weekdays are quieter. Although knowing India this won't work probably))) Another problem is poor wi-fi, periodically it did not work.

Clean, location, and super host.

Cozy guesthouse with 4 rooms in a family house ideally located near Assi Ghat. The room was pretty small, but was clean and quiet at night. The family lives on the first floor, a small communal space on the ground floor has two tables and a sofa. It's a nice spot to meet other guests and Sona, the host, will serve you her homemade fresh food here. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you Sona!

Everything was perfect

Our stay here was probably the best we had in India! Sona and her family were so nice to spend time with (her son is an excellent artist), the room was great - clean and comfortable with a fridge and storage space for bags - there is a nice roof to look over varanasi, and Sona can help with travel/tours/food/laundry and pretty much anything you need. Her cooking is also fantastic as is her chai! It's also in a great location by Assi Ghat which has lots of street vendors, restaurants etc. We will definitely return here if we visit Varanasi again
