Mwi Village House

- the environment - large land with many animals - amazing home-made dinner!! Must have! - AC in the rooms - strong wife connection - event thought it is in the hub of the village, it is a very quite space where you can rest and sleep well - very educated, social and friendly owner - many trips to be offered and arranged

Honestly nothing

Staying here for 5 nights was a wonderful experience for us. Mwi, the kind and attentive innkeeper, could not have done more to accommodate us and our needs. We ate both breakfast and dinner every day, and the food was both traditional and delicious, thanks to the talented Linah. Our bungalow was beautiful and comfortable. The flock of goats, the guinea fowl, chickens, and turkeys were an extra delight. The location is perfect for visits to Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, as well as Ngorongoro Crater. Mwi’s perfect fluency in English also made things effortless for us.

It was all wonderful except for the rough road leading in from the highway. We also had some issues with spotty and/or slow WiFi and cellular connectivity, but things worked better in the dining area.

Great host, very new rooms, good facilities, great local dinner with vegetarian option. In walking distance to the lake (during rainy season, might be a lot farer during dry season) and it was even possible to spot some zebras and wildebeests bear the lake while walking.

Can't think of anything

I liked the rural feel of the location. Mwi, the host was charming and he speaks perfect English , so I could ask him many things and have good discussions. My separate villa was very comfortable and large. The breakfasts were amazing with fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice, yogurt,pancakes or chapati, eggs done anyway you like- fresh from the property and nice coffee. Meals also prepared on site if requested There are goats around- very well behaved and so cute. New babies were born during my stay! Set amongst village style properties- it is a very quiet location yet I got the feel of being in an African location.

A bit more hot water would have been good.

Super établissement, très bien situé, Petit Déjeuner excellent et personnel extra. Petit jardin, avec Chèvres et volailles! Possibilité de commander le repas du soir, et la lunch box pour le lendemain!

The breakfast was very good, and was different each day. We were offered omelets as well as scrambled eggs, fresh juice and fruit, pancakes, etc. Our wake-up time was quite early, and everything was ready when we wanted breakfast.

Mwi Village House met all of our expectations. I don't have any comment about things I didn't like.

We stayed at MVH for 3 very enjoyable nights. Accomodation is chalet style. Ours was clean, spacious, well-equiped and private. Mwi is a true gentleman. His advice and assistance were invaluble dururing our stay. Evening meals are available and are freshly cooked and very tasty. The plot is quite large and there are goats and chickens roaming around which is entertaining. Mto Wa Mbu is an interesting place and MVH gives a good insight into daily life. Some pretty good sunsets too.

Superbe accueil et dîner délicieux.

Die Zimmer waren wunderschön eingerichtet und alles war super sauber. Aber besonders der Gastgeber Mwi hat den Aufenthalt so besonders gemacht. Er war extrem zuvorkommend, hat viele Tips gegeben und man konnte sich abends mit einem Getränk wunderbar unterhalten. Auch das Essen war frisch und sehr lecker. Die Eier zum Frühstück kamen sogar von den eigenen Hühnern auf dem Gelände.
