Hotel Casa Iturbe

The hotel was a sight for sore eyes- off a dusty street, the interior was lovely. Our kids loved the small pool (which was heated), and the daily breakfast was very nice.

There are no windows in some of the rooms. This was unclear in the information listed at the time of booking. Sadly, as the hotel was fully booked, they couldn't move me to a room with a window. The sound also echoes from reception straight across to these rooms and between the rooms as well. So, if there is a phone call in reception, you'll hear every word. Also, if your neighbour coughs all night, you'll hear this too. Bring earplugs.

Gorgeous hotel, beautiful and interesting spaces, with a nice pool (warm, the way I like it) and very good breakfast. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Very nice and helpful staff. Lovely cafe next door with excellent pastries and coffee. Near the square and also near the buses to Ocampo (catch them on Degallado, across from the Oxxo), from which you can grab a combi to El Rosario Monarch Sanctuary. Worth paying a little extra for a room with terrace; it gave us natural light that some of the other rooms lack.

Nothing—it was fabulous.

A beautiful home away from home while we visited an unfamiliar place. We are so grate to Angie for taking extra special care and her attention to help us feel welcome. Angie exceeded all expectations to help us with arranging taxi services as well as to ensure our comfort while we stayed in Zitacuaro. ❤️

Great pool and patio. Awesome breakfast. Very clean. Great base camp to see the butterflies!

Thin walls but guests were all very quiet.

Beautiful design, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The towels and linens were top notch. And a warm swimming pool!

The room was small with no windows, and it was easy to hear voices of our neighbors.

The hotel was very stylish, had a heated pool, wonderful breakfast and staff was amazing.

Lovely relaxing oasis, great pool, yummy breakfast, and helpful staff. Overall a wonderful spot.

Wifi was spotty, worked in the evening but not in the morning or afternoon. Arrived and put in room with no windows, asked for a window and was quickly moved to a much nicer room
