Best hostel Yala

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, haben mir alle Fragen beantwortet udn super weitergeholfen, Betten haben Mückennetze, Bad ist sauber und es gibt Steckdosen direkt neben dem Bett, man kann eine super Safari direkt übers Hostel buchen, war auch das beste Angebot, dass ich finden konnte. Fußläufig vom Busbahnhof und einigen Restaurants/Supermärkten entfernt. Ruhige Lage. Würde es immer wieder genau so machen

Owners were very friendly. It was only for a one night stay so I didn't make such a big fuss about it so long I had a roof over my head. It feels more like a guesthouse than a hostel. When I booked this place, the owner Pradeep was very patient in replying to my queries via Whatsapp. Overall the place is clean and well-located if you wish to go for the safari, but perhaps it'd be better if there were instructions in the toilet on how the shower works as I realised there was no water coming out from the shower head, no matter how I turned the tap and I had to seek help. When I told Pradeep that I didn't manage to see leopards at the safari, he actually offered me to stay an additional night but I already have plans to go to Mirissa and catch a flight after that. I guess he understands the disappointment that guests feel when they do not see any leopards and he wants all his guests to have an enjoyable stay. I was touched by his gesture, but I told him that it's alright and I understand that whether you see leopards or not depends on your luck. Even though I didn't see leopards, I still enjoyed the safari and it didn't dampen my mood.

I booked a standard double room but I ended up staying in a non air-conditioned dorm all to myself as there was a guest who extended her stay and the double room was not available anymore. Thankfully they charged me less as the dorm cost less than the double room. I was offered to stay in the air-conditioned mixed dorm instead but as a girl, I prefer staying in an all female dorm or in a private room. As I arrived in the evening, there were very limited food options nearby and there were no street lamps and very dark. Not advisable for girls to walk out at night. Food delivery was also not available in that area. I had to settle for cup noodles from a convenience shop. That night was very hot even though I had turned on the fan to the maximum speed and I had to open the windows and got bitten by mozzies. So unfortunately, I didn't really had a good night's sleep and we had to wake up very early for the safari.

Buon ostello di passaggio per la notte se si vuole fare il safari la mattina. La camera singola era pulita, così come il bagno in comune. Hanno anche dei bagni all'aperto. Posizione abbastanza comoda per girare a piedi. Raggiungibile a piedi dalla stazione degli autobus.

Le personnel est très sympa et les chambres sont confortables

Very nice room, comfy bed, clean bathroom good shower. Good location walking distance to the beach

No aircon so slightly warm

Definitely the place to stay if you're in Tissa! Host was super nice and helpfull!
