Lovely hosts that very much care about their guests. Breakfast was incredible and house is very inviting for andinner at the Pool.

We had a wonderful stay at Birds of Paradise B&B. The place has a very personal and welcoming atmosphere. Dirk and Vanessa, the hosts, were incredibly thoughtful — they surprised us with a bottle of bubbly and handmade shampoo and soap bars to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. Such a lovely gesture! The B&B embraces sustainability, providing refillable glass water bottles in each room, proper waste segregation, and a filtered water station in the communal kitchen — small things that really matter. Our room was beautifully designed, very clean, and had a private mini terrace we loved relaxing on. The pool was warm, well maintained, and never crowded. On-site parking was convenient, and having a car is definitely recommended for visiting nearby beaches like Arrifana and Amoreira, or heading into Aljezur town. Breakfast was lacto-ovo vegetarian (including dairy and eggs, but no meat or fish), with lots of vegan options too. Jennifer, who helped during our stay, was incredibly friendly and made sure our preferences were taken into account — thanks again for the delicious brownies! Communication was easy, and we got great local tips for restaurants and beach day trips. If you’re looking for a place with a relaxed, communal vibe where you can connect with the hosts and fellow travelers, this is the perfect choice. The hosts are often present to assist during the mornings. In an age of impersonal travel, this place feels genuinely warm, thoughtful, and homey — a perfect base to explore the West Algarve.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place! Vanessa & Dick created a beautiful space where you a feel at home while exploring everything the area has to offer. Design of rooms and all the details along my stay were curated with a lot of attention and care. Hosts were very helpful in recommending additional attractions such as surf training or massage. Each of their recommendations turn out great. Thank you Vanessa, Dick, Madeleine and Sami for these peaceful and sunny days ☀️🫶🏻

For someone who wishes to be close to the beach this place may not be best. I would still recommend it though as it has an easy access to both of top beaches in the area: Arrifana and Playa de Konte Clérigo. It has a nice swimming pool also

Wonderful house, lovely and well equipped rooms, super nice hosts and staff!! We loved the handmade breakfast in the morning and the well equipped kitchen to prepare our own dinner. It was super easy to get in touch with other guests. The house is perfectly located for surfing at arrifana beach and nice beach walks in the area. Vanessa and Dick created a little paradise - they are super friendly, caring and helpful!! We will definitely be back one day! Thank you so much for having us :)

Everything. Vanesa, Dick, Samy and Maddie were amazing and the place unique. It’s a perfect place if you like surfing and enjoying the nature. The area is wonderful, rooms very comfortable and the breakfast everyday was different and magnificent! I definitely recommend this place and looking forward to come back!

Where to start? It's a true paradise in Vale da Telha. Dick and Vanessa are delightful hosts, with genuine care about their guests and dedicated to every aspect of our stay. We love to know you guys, and we're blessed that we stayed in your cool home. Thanks for every single thing. You have a magnificent breakfast with local produts, everything fresh and with a great presentation and lovely vibes. The pool, the beds, the music, the colors, everything is alligned and justified.
