LovingStresa Studio in the heart of the town

The location was fantastic as we were in the heart of everything. The studio was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

The main thing for us was a lack of privacy unless the shutters were down (raised ground floor apartment so it was easy to see in, though there are very thin curtains which help obscure this).

Il y’avait des cheveux sur le pommeau de douche… écœurant (cf photo) L’isolation était catastrophique on entendait tout!! Et je m’attendais à des échantillons de gel douche/shampooing comme partout, mais j’ai dû aller acheter de quoi me laver 😅

The location of the property is perfect. An easy distance from the train station and practical for daily activities and quick walk to the boat terminal. The host was easily contactable and friendly.

It can be a little noisy outside the studio at night - just due to foot traffic and people chatting while walking past. After the first night I didn’t hear it that much. Upstairs neighbours are a little noisy and kids running around but not ridiculous and not the end of the world - it was a wet weekend so not unexpected. Generally the noises just blends in after a few hours. It certainly didn’t effect our sleep or weekend.

My review is double-sided On one hand the apartment is great. It's modern, new, clean, cozy and well equiped. I think it's even better in person than on pictures hence i didn't make any pictures - the ones presented here are quite accurate. I found the bed comfortable, the curtains and shutters perfectly hide you from the people on the street, there was olive oil, coffee, sugar etc in the kitchen which is well designed fitting fridge, dishwasher, stove and oven and still leaving enough space to comfortably cook breakfast. The presence of washing machine was great as well. And lots of storage space. The only thing that could be improved - would be nice to have some kind of a shelf in the shower cabin or near it to put the soap, shampoo etc on. It's a bit problematic to get all that from the sink or the floor having to open the cabine doors every time. The owner was nice and helpful too. And the best part about the place is of course location - it's very central, very close to the lake, ferry station, not too far from the railway station, lots of shops and restaurants around and a great supermarket right across the street.

BUT On the other hand our stay was affected by the air conditioner not working correctly. We are northren people so i specifically was looking for a place with AC and actually paid a bit extra for that (had other options without AC). All so we could cool off after a day of walking and have a good night sleep. It was a critical aspect for us. But the AC was making horrible loud rattling noises perodically waking us up a few times per night. We asked if that could be fixed, a master came, didn't fix it, then there was weekend etc etc, long story short: we didn't have a good sleep even once in 6 days. Which did lead to us being tired and affecting the overall experience. But i think and hope that will be fixed for the next guests.

Central location close to everything you need. Good communication, fast WiFi, clean apartment.
