Boatman's harbor

A very enjoyable stay. The owner met me at the property which was great. A modern accommodation with all the amenities you could ask for. Supermarket only 10 mins away. Bus, train and coach station within easy walking distance. Great value too.

The room was super clean, with no dust in sight. The owner was very nice and forthcoming, she called me in the morning to ask when I would be arriving. I arrived half an hour later than it was said, because I did not use public transport, but was going on foot. If you travel by bus the central station is half an hour away from the place, but the walk takes you through the center and some shops if you need to fill up the fridge or grab a snack. There is a concert hall nearby and lots of restaurants. There is iron, kettle, tea, and coffee on the spot. All is very cozy and clean, spotless.

Everything was great, but the walls are quite thin, so if you are a light sleeper you will hear everything. The toddler runs around on the upper floor, and the party is going on next door, or the TV is behind the other. The ventilation in the WC is quite loud and runs for longer when you have shut it off, but that is the smallest bit that might disturb the peace. I enjoyed it all.

The appartment is well distributed and there is enough space. It is located in an old building that is getting slowly refurbished, seems to. The appartment itself seems almost newly refubished. I did like the blackout courtains. The kitchen is functional and has what could be needed for basic use. The owner allowed me to do an early check in and a bit late check out, which I thank very much.

A couple of things to mention here: The appartment is in the 4th floor, and there is no lift (people with some disability may find it hard to reach) It seems that the stairs that bring you to the 4th floor do not have light or at least not something that gets on automatically, so, at night, have a flashlight ready, because it is dark there. The sofa-bed is not very comfortable. There is a spot, close to where the 3 sections meet, that is hard, so you may hurt yourself if you happen to sit/lie there with some impulse. Finally, the shower cabin leaks water from bellow its base, which wet more than half of the bathroom's floor. (I notify this to the owner, so it should be fixed soon.) The location is not the most central, but, in all cases, at walkable distance of the main attractions in town.
