Umdlalo Lodge

I ordered different foods for breakfast each day. Foods were good. The owner and staff were courteous and helpful.

I stayed in Room 3. While the room was comfortable, the internet was not working as it should. Very slow! I could at times use my iPhone and go online. My iPad just simply didn’t connect. No problem with my iPad. I purchased my own 10gig data and used while I was at the Lodge. Could not use the beach as most Hibiscus beaches and rivers are contaminated and dangerous unless very specifically stated SAFE.

They were hosting a year end function so the loud music went on up until 01:00am.

We were given a room that was not executive while on booking.com we paid for executive and the gentleman incharge claimed it’s not their problem that booking.com doesn’t show its same price for all room so we paid more and still got a standard room . The owner was also quite cold and unkind about all this definately not going back gated every minute of it

Location was easy to access as for the breakfast - early breakfast not considered for early mornings and the manager was late on the second day to be provided with breakfast and we left without having breakfast.

The noise - there was a function on Saturday night that ended very late and somehow inconvenienced our time during resting time in the evening as well the parking was a challenge.
