Apollo Guest House - Colaba Causeway

The staff were genuinely kind and helpful throughout my stay. They assisted with money exchange, booked a city tour, and arranged a driver, which made the Mumbai stop much smoother. The room itself was spotlessly clean with a private attached bathroom, and the AC worked well and handled Mumbai's April heat without issues. The location is genuinely excellent for exploring Colaba on foot: Gateway of India is a short walk away, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is right there, and Leopold Cafe and the Colaba Causeway shopping street are steps from the door. Uber and Ola work easily from the guest house for getting anywhere else in the city. A solid base for a two to three day stay focused on South Mumbai.

The soundproofing is poor. My room was on the first floor close to the reception, so I could hear conversations at the front desk, check-outs in the early morning, and everything happening in the hallways. Colaba Causeway itself is also very busy and loud at night with honking and crowds, and with minimal window insulation it all comes through. The room had no view from the window. I asked to be moved to a quieter room and was told it would happen the next day, but the change never took place.

Friendly helpful staff, clean room and great Colaba location

Расположение просто отличное - в 10 метрах от входа - кафе Леопольд (в которое днем к сожалениею не попасть из-за постоянных очередей из местных), рядом Макдональдс (попасть можно, но не с первого раза))). Рядом Гейтвэй, Тажд Махал. Для тех кто шопиться - рядом все бутики всех брендов. Номерки похожи на больничные палаты, компактненькие. Но все довольно чистенько и аккуратно. Минимальный набор того что нужно - имеется. По меркам Мумбаи - в целом - очень приличный гестхаус

При заезде на респшене почти час проверяли наши паспорта - что-то там все копировали, сканировали. Не понравились штампы в визах, типа размыты или типа того, насколько я понял. Запросили распечатку виз. Причем тут мы не понятно, как поставили на паспортном контроле так поставили. Вобщем пришлось поволноваться поначалу - проверяют хуже чем в аэропорту.
