Solomon Apartments,Alappuzha beach.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is immaculately clean and spacious with comfortable beds. It is in a good location for getting auto rickshaws and the shop immediately outside the gate is excellent. We were able to buy milk, eggs and other essentials there. Mr Solomon is a helpful host. Although the apartment is not at the beach everywhere is so accessible and Mr Solomon is very helpful for any questions about getting to places. We would like to visit again one day.

On arrival there had been a mix up with the booking but it was resolved quickly. A few more cooking utensils would be useful.

It was exceptionallly well maintained and clean.

The apartment was clean and the owner was very responsive, chilled and cooperative. The overall experience was great. I would rate it 5 on 5.

Host behaviour

The owner lives close by so he met us on arrival. The apartment was safe and clean, it also included a kitchen and dining area. There was a lot of space to lounge. We had access to the terrace. Overall, the apartment is great for groups. Wifi and tv are also available.

Strict rules. One of the showers was clogged. There were not enough pillows. No housekeeping. The owner does not have any connection to local businesses like kayaking and restaurants.

This well intentioned, relatively new property shows a lot of promise but failed at multiple counts for me. There are no lifts in the building. If you are disabled or are travelling with elderly people, ask for the ground floor apartment. You are left to your own devices in dealing with the mosquito menace in the apartment. My 9-month-old baby had bite marks all over her body and face. Thankfully, no further complications. When brought to the notice of the owner, there was no compassion, just denial, excuses, and a laboured apology. In the mornings, we experienced sounds from the construction that was going on nearby which affected one of the rooms we were occupying. Early mornings and in the evening, there is loud music from the nearby temple. At night, there are plenty of dogs in the vicinity who can collectively create a cacophony that can keep you up if you are the sensitive type. The property only accepts cash or mobile payments which can be quite the hassle if you are unprepared. The host/owner is friendly, but he is not the most competent at handling customer issues. While being non-confrontational, he easily goes into denial mode and is not proactive. This property has excellent potential. Too bad it fails to have a human touch.

Was not quite accommodating for 5 persons. Perfect for 4. As they have 1 double bed and 2 single beds.
