Olas Tulum

I wish I could give Olas more than 5 stars! What a beautiful, secluded piece of paradise. Our stay was so much more than I expected. The grounds are very well thought out and maintained. We enjoyed the various sitting areas around the property. My favorite was the sunset deck - PLEASE utilize it!! There's a sectional sofa, little bar top with stools, and the very best views to watch the sun set - very romantic. There's even wifi so we brought our speaker and listened to music. We stayed in beachfront cabin 3 and loved it. There's no A/C but we did not miss that one bit. The entire property was specifically designed to capitalize on the ocean's breeze, including the rooms. We had a kitchenette that was very well appointed and had everything we needed. We brought ingredients to make our own cocktails because there's no bar on site - this was not inconvenient for us at all, my husband enjoys making drinks for us. Falling asleep to the sound of the breeze and waves on a comfortable bed was just dreamy! There were two pillows per person . The water pressure was enough and the hot water took a few minutes to reach the shower but not a bother to us. I do recommend leaving your shoes outside your room, sand will get all over your floor and I personally don't like that. The breakfast every morning was a highlight!! Nano made the best meals taking our food interests and needs into consideration. Only breakfast is served so you will need to make up for your other meals. We spent a great deal of time by the ocean and thoroughly enjoyed many, many walks along the beach on the biosphere side of the hotel - the other direction was the hotel zone and much too crowded for me. There was sargassum on the beach but it is what it is. Not as much as some other places had, and we learned to live with it instead of be disgruntled about it. At least it didn't smell and it really didn't take away from the beauty that is all around. Lastly, Asia was the most knowledgable and helpful host! She was eager to offer suggestions on what to do and where to go, and even helped with various reservations. Asia always followed through and was attentive. We very much enjoyed getting to know her and Nano! We absolutely loved this hidden gem and cannot wait to return - there's so much magic in the air here! Oh - we rented a car from Tulum airport and couldn't have done the trip without going broke if we hadn't. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and secluded getaway, this is your place! We went into town (hotel zone) a few times and had some amazing dinners but always looked forward to getting back to this paradise. Thank you, Olas, for being different!

A perfect getaway : we went to bed with the sound of the waves and woke up to the sound of the waves; we had long chatty delicious breakfasts before heading out for walks, swims and hours of reading. The lagoon was magnificent, we ate supremely well in town and so enjoyed the quiet end of the beach we found ourselves on.

Breakfast was very good if a bit minimal. It's a lovely tranquil place right on a beautiful beach with palm trees, white sand etc etc.

One of the best holiday experiences we have had in recent years and somewhere we hope to return to. A beautiful location, lovely breakfasts with a sociable and chilled vibe. Olas is run by a team that genuinely care that you are having a good time with great food and drink recommendations and lots of local knowledge.

That place is the best kept secret in Tulum. Secluded and serene, with the picture perfect palms and gold sand beach front. Nano, the keeper, is also the cook and Olas good spirit, that will make sure you'll forgive about the rest of the world and enjoy and relax there. We strongly recommend it if you are looking for authentic, quiet, beatiful place! There's no TV's there for a reason...

Wonderful eco friendly location at the end of the "strip". Far enough away from the madding crown to ensure privacy and a breathtaking, almost private beach, but close enough to take part in the action too if desired. Mara and the team were the best possible hosts, adding to the already almost impossible serenity of the environment. The bed was so comfy, the sort of things dreams are made of.

I went with my wife at las Olas Tulum for vacation. Was amazing relaxing place, escaping from the noise, very good place for reatreat if you looking for a quiet, front of the Caribbean sea, just a steps to the beach,nice coconout palms threes, Jimmy was a great host, walking around the area you can found plenty of restaurants, nigth life and bars, Thanks for the Olas crew staff for the hospitality. Sure will be back.
