Orlando is incredibly helpful. We felt there like at home. Everything was clean, comfortable. It's just perfect place to stay

Great location, clean, and host is very friendly and helpful.

Orlando, the host, is very relaxed, kind and helpful, making us feel at home from the beginning. He has just recently created a small garden in the small closed courtyard, which is a very cosy and relaxing place to chill after a day of adventures. He even invited us for a barbecue one evening and treated us like guests. We enjoyed that we could walk around town and walk to the nearest beach. But of course you need a car when traveling in Azores. There are nicer beaches within a short driving distance. You can go swimming in the evening (in July) after a long day of adventures. We appreciated that there were beach towels as well that we could take on trips. One of the best views of the island, the view of Lagoa do Fogo, is very near this place. From the balcony, you can see in the morning whether the sky is clear on the top of the mountain (see photo). If it is clear in the morning or evening, make sure you drive to the top for the most amazing view! We watched the sunset from there. From the viewpoint you see the lake, but you can also see the north and south coast of the island. We had very cheap burgers and beers at Tio Lanches nearby. We also cooked our own meals some days in the kitchen downstairs. There is everything you need there to cook for a family.

The only thing I can think of is that the two dogs sometimes barked at night/early morning. But they were always peaceful and quiet when we were around. I still rate this place a 10 and would be happy to return.

Orlando and Carla were an amazing hosts, we really felt like at home with family 😊 The bathroom was huge, and we had everything we need. Books and liflets about Açores that we have found in the room were a great inspiration for our sightseeing, as well as Orlando’s recommendations!

The family was great and welcoming, we enjoyed sangria upon arrival :) It was fully sufficient for us.

The host Orlando is amazing! He and his girlfriend were super sweet. Gave amazing advice and even invited us to the bbq they had. Best hosts! Also the location is great. 5 minute walk towards a big grocery store. 10 minutes to the beach. You can reach every part of the island sao Miguel within 1 hour
