King Size Bed, Private Parking, Centrally Located

A wonderful experience Cathy is a warm and friendly host and gave me great tips on what to do in Kilkenny. We shared many chats over tea and coffee beside the cosy Aga together with her beautiful 7 rescue dogs. I honestly felt like I was visiting a friend. I will definitely be back. I was a solo female traveller and felt so secure and safe here. The room is very large and spacious with a big mirrored wardrobe and another huge mirror great for doing hair and make up. Good literature in the room of what to do in Kilkenny. Big comfortable bed. Clean cosy and big enough so that I could do my yoga in the room whilst seeing myself in the mirrored wardrobe. You have your own entrance which looks out onto the gorgeous gardens. You have a full set of keys to the room both doors and also the padlock key because the gated entrance is locked due to keeping her pets safe from the road. It is important to give an estimate of time of arrival so make sure you have her telephone number and keep in contact with Cathy and text her or ring her because the dogs may be out in the garden so when you arrive let her know so that she can let you in and keep the dogs safe. There is ample room outside the gates to wait safely off the road. if wanting to arrive early or later just keep in contact as she is very accommdating but just needs to know. I felt even more secure with the gate locked and the house well in off the road so quiet and peaceful. You can walk around the garden and see Kilkenny Castle in the near distance. It was actually not far to the centre 5 minutes to matt the millers pub then another few minutes up to the castle walkable through the pleasant riverside walk through peace park. You are also next to a 24 hour garage for drinks and snacks. You cater for your own breakfast there is a shelf in the fridge provided for your use. There is an air fryer and tea/coffee provided. Excellent stay I highly recommend.

No breakfast because we got there at 3 and found a locked gate with several dogs barking.We waited 2 hours in the heat and nobody came.We had to book another hotel and lost that money

Cathy is very pleasant and accomodating. The dogs are wonderful and really add to the place.

The lady was very dog friendly, her dogs were very approachable and welcoming. The house was very vintage and antique and was in lovely condition. She had the bedroom spotless. The wifi connection was handy as there was no television. The shower was private and near the bedroom. The cost of the room was very affordable.

Would have liked if there was a television but the internet was sufficient.

The property was in a lovely place. Owner was professional and helpful. I enjoyed my stay .

Everything. A nice 15-20 min walk to town with different routes to take. The room was amazing. Very peaceful. Cathy the owner was so so nice, the dogs (7 if them) great. Felt very comfortable/welcome.

Cathy is lovely , a very kind, nice, warm person.

Would have preferred to know more about the 7 dogs before I stayed, but they are very nice dogs; just there are rather a lot of them.
