We felt very welcome at Home Stay. Our hosts were super friendly and respectful. We received very good traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts. The accommodation is 5 min from the beach. There are also restaurants to eat and many other activities nearby. For example the town of Galle. I highly recommend the accommodation.

One of the worst guest house I ever been. First of all the room was so hot and the smell of humidity was really bad, and the room in general and the bed... In other hand the host are so unfriendly and no polite at all. Only the woman ask you about the money every time in a bad way and rude.. also I had my breakfast and in every place that I been the put me anoher cup of coffee without any problems, I ask for another coffee and at the end they charged me this coffee too, and the way that they told you, to be honest so unfriedly and bad manners. The location is far aways from walle center, almost 3km and the neighborhood of the house they dont have nothing near by, no lights and only one place to eat something. Definetly one of the worst experience in a guest house in Sri Lanka, and was luckily my last acommodation before I leaved the country.

Very spacious room in a huge house with a garden in a quiet environment.

The house is a smoking area, the smell is unbearable to me. It wasn't clearly mentioned in the results of my research that the room had no bathroom. The room was extremely hot. The communication with the manager wasn't easy.

Nice gardens and Suanger was a lovely, cheerful host. Very good value for money as it was an easy walk or tuk tuk ride to the cricket ground. Basic, clean room in a lovely house.

Difficult to find.

When we were there, the washroom didn't clean. If we ask them any questions; they yaa yaa with a fake smile. For the money totally disappointed ☹️. The washroom shower wasn't working. They decreased water speed. They asked us to take a wash in another washroom(it was on another floor). The fan also probably didn't work. Breakfast is also too cheap. 4 slices of bread and 1 egg divided into two for 2 people.

Having a roof over my head

I arrived to be told my booking (that I had made 2 weeks before) couldn't be found but that there was another, more expensive room available.  I insisted on paying what I had booked for and then I was shown the room that I had booked (single room). I had to be driven to a different location,  and walked out the back of a property in the dark to a small room separate to the main building with no outdoor lighting.  It was clear you would have to go outside the room to use the toilet,  none of which was stated on the ad. When I said this is not what was advertised they said this is truck drivers accomodation and showed me on their page (strangely they had found the booking) that I had booked 'drivers lodge', which is not available on any of my information and regardless would not explain that it a was a separate building in the dark without a toilet.  As the Galle Literary Festival and an international cricket game was on there were no other options so I took the more expensive room. It was stiflingly hot and the fan worked on a 2 hour timer so all through the night I was waking up and resetting the timer.  There were also many mosquitos. The bathrooms frosted door faces out towards the owners living room so I did not feel comfortable showering there. I would never go back and couldn't recommend this to anyone.

Everything
