Lavender House Weymouth

Easy location for the train and the beach. Weymouth has lots to love about it. So much seaside traditional fun. Lavender house is very well equipt, 2 lounges, 3 loos. lots of crockery, a washer dryer etc

Lavender house is very close to being fabulous and some easy fixes could have made it much better. The twin room smelt really damp and unhealthy, so we didn't use it. There were slug trails and dried slug in the hall. The kettle was choked with limescale and had gone slimy. We didn't use it either, so we had to buy one. There is alot of shabby stuff in the garden and kitchen which would be much better chucked out and simplified. Comfortable beds in the useable rooms. Please vacuum under the sofa cushions as there was dog hair and crumbs. There was blood stains on one of the quilt covers. This house is large, roomy and nice bathrooms, it just needs more love and attention. A guide book on how recycling works and a bit of a welcome would be good.

Good location, close to the beach and town centre. Front door locking system made it very straightforward for all of us to come and go as we please. The facilities were excellent and beds very comfortable. We loved cooking in the very well stocked kitchen and relaxing by the fire after long walks on the beach and watching the kids play twister!!

No recycling facilities. Did we miss something? Many games were incomplete, perhaps a cull is needed?

Lots of space for families to meet and great location. Beds were comfy.

Not very clean. But for the price and space it was good.

Spacious warm house. Ideal location, two streets away from the beach. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Recycling/rubbish information would have been useful. The kitchen cupboards & garden could do with a de-clutter and deep clean.

The house was good value for money as there were 8 in our party, 5 bedrooms so enough for everyone. Plenty of downstairs space with there being 2 living rooms, a dining room and kitchen. Two shower rooms with WC (one downstairs next to the downstairs twin bedroom at the end of the kitchen) and a separate WC and large bathroom on the 1st floor, so 3 toilets in all which is good for large party. Location is close to the station and just a 5 minute stroll to the sea front. Also the 1 free parking space was very much appreciated.

Although value for money, the interior decor and living room furniture was very tired. Lovely to see floorboards, but there was a bit of a broken floorboard in the front living room, in front of one of the sofas which needs looking at. There were only 6 forks and we were a party of 8. Not all the bath towels were clean. I noticed that water was flowing out of the drain cover in the path, think it was linked too the toilet, not sure if this was due to the bad weather or a blockage issue. We also couldn't get the Wifi to work. Please don't think us at all fussy, we're a normal down to earth party of family and friends. These issues need to be raised to ensure that future customers have no cause to complain. Regardless of all the above we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
