Friendly staff, very nice restaurant/outdoor area by the pool, excellent free breakfast (buffet), AC and hot water worked well enough, airport shuttle was on time ($10 each way). Hotel can change money for you at a good rate-- roughly 7600/1USD july 25). power outages were infrequent and very brief (generator on site?). Close to the bus station (5 min walk) and 12 min drive to the airport

Likely not the hotel's fault but no water one day. Bujumbura hotels are expensive for foreigners and they generally require payment in dollars.
