Dervish Stays, Mukteshwar

Was quite apprehensive initially to book as have Never stayed in a Homestay, so we booked for 1 night only to try it out.. and with our great experience, we extended for 2 more days Today is our third Day and felt like sharing a review because this stay is a highlight of our Uttarakhand Trip. The rawness, nature, animals (yes they don’t just have 3 adorable dogs who accompanied us for our trek , but they also have a cow and some chickens) The food is really good here and that keeps us hooked to just eat here. The hosts are so humble, Mr Samir is a published poet and last night in the mehfil over bonfire curated by them he shared some amazing soulful poems of his and his wife Neha paints quite well. This place every nook and corner has been very cutely and thoughtfully done. Overall, we are having a great great time here .

It is beautiful property. The natural beauty is breathtaking. The food is good.

The property doesn’t have the power back-up. The amenities are not up to the mark. The electricity was not there and we didn’t have good sleep because of mosquitoes. Also, the mattress was not good.

Location: 10/10 If you want to spend quiet and peaceful time with your loved ones, this is the right place. Far away from noise and crowd. Good connectivity with the road. Room: 10/10 Quite spacious and neat and clean with a beautiful mountain view. Food: 100/10 Just LOVED everything we had, be it vegetarian or non-veg food. Must try chefs special mutton curry. 🤌🏼❤️ The owner of this place is sweet and the staff is very polite and helpful. Wish we had planned to stay longer as the weekend was not enough. Also, they have such friendly and cute pets (dogs). It's a home away from home. :)

Serenity and indulgence is how I would like to describe my stay. We had plans to go out and cover some touristy places but we didnt feel like stepping out of the property only. We were so enchanted by the peace and environment. Honestly had the best sleep after a long time. And the food i would say the cook has really good hands on what he makes. We tried dishes from the lost recipe section and can't explain the happiness we felt.. From us 5 star, well deserved!! Specially the staff, they serve with smiling face all the time. Just one bit i would like to add for Happy Dervish to mention about chulha food experience more as that was the best experience for us Specially in the mountains.

We were on a 2 Day trip to Mukteshwar & decided to stay at Happy Dervish Mukteshwar and randomly booked the stay for our second day through booking.com. Upon reaching the place we were happy upon to see the wonderful ambience of the property as well as our room which was really tidy , clean and greatly designed. The Owner, staff as well as the locals around the place were wonderful and too kind and generous. The cherry on top was the food we ate for our dinner. Haven't tasted such wonderful food on our entire 3 days trip to Nainital -Mukteshwar. The dining area was also greatly designed with beautiful paintings painted by the owner and nicely articulated sitting area. Our room had the view of the Famous Mukteshwar dham temple from where we could see sunrise In the morning and Other window showed us beautiful sunset in the eve. Over all the experience was wonderful and one of the most cherishing experience. A must visit place for those looking for peace amongst the hustle and bustle of Nainital . Definitely staying at this place for every future visit to Nainital/Mukteshwar.

My recent stay at Happy Dervish was nothing short of delightful. Tucked away in a serene location, this cozy retreat offered a perfect escape from the hustle bustle of city life. The ambiance exuded tranquility, with earthy decorand comfortable stay that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly welcoming ensuring every need was met. Food was super delicious and there were some dishes, I for sure haven't had them better like the Mutton preparation, pahadi raita and kumaon food. Overall I highly recommend Happy Dervish to all natural and peace lovers.

Spacious property but not well maintained

No daily maintenance of room as per high daily rent being charged for room . No cleaning in room during stay. In case you want pay additionally . Food is very costly and there is no alternative available in vicinity .

The calmness, the mountains, and the room's aesthetics are all on point. The staff - particularly the chef Deepak - are all extremely skilled. The food is homely and delicious. Caretaker Kailash ensures all your needs are taken care of. The staff are hands on and willing to help you settle in. The best bit is being welcomed by three gorgeous dogs!

Perfect secluded location in the midst of mountains. It's so peaceful, all you will hear is the sound of birds and trees and occasionally some cows. The food was amazing! They have 3 amazing dogs, they were the highlight of my trip.

The photos of the room make it look bigger than it actually is, not that I'm complaining, it had sufficient space. It's just that, looking only at the photos on booking.com I was expecting the room to be somewhat bigger. The food was crazy delicious but a little pricey. I would hope the indian desi food would be a little cost-effective considering the stay itself is not cheap, again not complaining as I throughly enjoyed the food!
