We brought our own breakfast, the facilities were first class. Sitting in the beautiful kitchen, looking out to the incredible garden, was an unexpected delight. The whole place was so unexpectedly beautiful, and Bruce and Teresa are exceptional hosts.

We have no criticism - everything was such high quality and thought through. If there was one tiny improvement it would be the bed light switches being so high they're hard to reach. It still didn't take from the fabulous experience we had.

Teresa and Bruce have thought about every little detail. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The communal area had everything you could need for self catering. The whole place was very clean and well cared for - clearly a real labour of love. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wisteria Way. It is a gorgeous retreat with all amenities catered for. There is also a beautiful little craft shop on site where you can get a good coffee and delicious home baked cakes. A cooked breakfast is available on request. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful. The little cabin was very comfortable and there was a very Cosy common room and kitchen with anything you might need. We would definitely book again in the future if we're in the area. Oh, and the cottage garden is absolutely delightful!

It was peaceful, very clean and very well presented. Facilities were excellent and owners were beautiful people. The gardens were a joy to walk through. And so much more for the price. Highly recommend Wisteria Way for accommodation.

We hadden een huisje met alles erop en eraan, in een prachtige tuin. Het heeft een veranda, waar we heerlijk gezeten hebben. De vlinders en vogels vlogen om ons heen. De eigenaren zijn vriendelijke mensen.

Only small improvement would be better block out curtains, but that is because I am very light sensitive!

As avid travellers, we’ve stayed in many beautiful places both in New Zealand and overseas... and Wisteria Way genuinely sits among the very best. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. Wisteria Way captures the heart and essence of the Kiwi country experience, including a cheeky resident cat, chickens and cows that roam the paddocks. The surroundings are rich with history and soul, with rambling gardens that fruit and blossom around the cottages. The accommodation itself is both whimsical and incredibly practical... every detail feels intentional and lovingly considered. We were lucky enough to stay in Lavender Cottage, which has its own private bathroom. While the other cottages share facilities, this is absolutely not a compromise: the shared lounge space is stunning and thoughtfully designed. Lavender Cottage, however, was a dream. Every square inch was beautifully executed; if we could move in tomorrow, we would. And then there are the owner-operators, Theresa and Bruce, truly the heart and soul of the place!! Their presence is felt everywhere. Thoughtful, generous, creative, friendly, spiritual, and deeply heartfelt, you can see their values reflected in every detail of what they’ve created. The gallery/café is a joy in itself, brimming with art, gifts, and food that are all genuinely gorgeous. Start your day with a savory scone or piece of cake (we tried the rose & cardamon, and the carrot - yum!) and a delicious Rush coffee, and you’ll be perfectly set for a day exploring the many, many gorgeous locations that Wisteria Way is at the heart of. If anything, Theresa and Bruce are almost too humble. A place like this requires vision, creativity, and an enormous amount of care, and Wisteria Way clearly comes from a deep understanding of what it means to create something meaningful and lasting. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay....except, perhaps, for it to have been much longer.
