"Lovely little place and would certainly stay again if I was passing"

Lovely old school pub type feel about it. Room was spotless and comfy. Food was great with huge portions.

Slightly limited choice of cereal at breakfast, otherwise it was great

Good location

Room was shabby and very cold, there was no heating and we couldn't shut the bathroom window. Bed, however, was comfortable.

Did the job! Good value when you consider breakfast is included. Nice outside area and great location a few minutes walk from train station. Need for a basic overnight stay ahead of walking the Coast to Coast route and would recommend to other walkers. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The evening food menu was a little expensive imo. Only one towel provided in a twin room.

Well located for the St. Bees start of the coast to coast walk. Pretty village with convenience store and a couple of pubs. We had a large, comfortable twin room. The breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful.

Good location and would be good for a one night stay.for walkers doing the C2C walk.

It's an old hotel that needs a lot of modernisation.
