It a beautiful property with lots of character.

There is construction ongoing, which prevented us from enjoying the outside due to dust

Fantastic staff, really friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was really tasty and varied The decor was done tastefully. The room was impressive with a fabulous bathroom

Unfortunately the pool was not operational and that was one the attractions of the hotel but the hotel apologised profusely

The only bright spot in our stay was the included breakfast. It was among the best breakfasts we have enjoyed during our travels. Chef Avnees and the server Vinod deserve special mention for their efforts.

This hotel was once 150 years ago a city palace, then for many years a hospital, finally derelict for many years. Now it's being resurrected as a hotel. Unfortunately, at this time it's only about 50% ready to be a hotel. The photos shown in Booking dot Com and Tripadvisor are skillfully shot to give the impression of a 5-star hotel, when except for the current 14 guest rooms it is a construction site. This amounts to a fraudulent "bait and switch" attempt to lure guests to a property they would never book if they knew the true condition of the hotel.

The food was exceptional and the staff very attentive and keen to please. We would absolutely recommend The Earth as the place to stay in Amritsar, very safe and full of history. The rooms could do with more finesse, however where good in size. The management have plans to improve these points. Thankyou to Rajeev and Anmol for looking after us so well.

As we visited in winter a little more warmth in the dining room would have been appreciated.
