Villa Sukara

I would highly recommend this apartment for a holiday to the beautiful Makarska Riviera. The views were breathtaking. The apartment was modern and spotless. All the amenities you could think of. A lovely kind hostess who made our stay very welcoming and memorable. The pool area was lovely. The added bonus of a family cat and tortoise who kept my daughter amused. Thank you for a pleasurable stay.

Having to leave to return home !

Exceptionally clean and stylish apartment, so clean everything was like new. Beds and pillows were so comfy , as was the living area. Use of the villa pool which was made into a pretty area and had great views. Our apartment had balconies which had stunning views over the sea and town. Anamari, the owner was really lovely, very helpful if we needed her.

The only drawback of being on a hill with lovely views is that walking back home was a bit of a slog so it might be an issue for people with mobility difficulties who might need to use own transport or taxi. We didn’t mind too much as it meant we could walk off the delicious ice creams which often tempted us 😀

Really enjoyed my stay here, such nice views and very comfortable. The family are very accommodating and welcoming, very worth a stay and would come again.

The host was brilliant. She was wonderful and attentive to our every need. A warm welcome and assistance for around the area made us very welcome. The location was great (10-15 min walk down and 15-20min walk up from town centre. A decent hill). But for us this was perfect as it was a trade for a pool with a little toddler too. The apartment had everything we required.

Call me old fashioned but having a security deposit on arrival wasnt the best. It ultimately wasn't an issue for us as we travel to Europe a lot and still had a few days at the end but if you're a tourist and not able to spend or afford the €200 cash then it is not ideal being left with it at the end. Didn't impact us but just a little thing to be mindful of.

Stay longer

The view was amazing and both the indoor and outdoor area were nice and clean. We think that Villa Sukara is a good choice to stay as an extended family, if you could rent all five appartments/rooms at the same time (although this would have been very expensive)..

Lack of privacy from other guests as we stayed at the ground floor. We got the impression that the pool and the pool area was exclusivley connected to our appartement. That was due to the phrase "this appartement has a private pool. It should have stated that it had access to a pool, along with all the other guests. If we had known that the other guest had an open view to our small patio and bedroom from the pool area, and that it potentially could appear up to ten persons in an area that did not have the size for it, we honestly would have chosen differently.
