Hotel Golden Orchid

The staff were good and very co-operative.

Food is not allowed in the room.

Good location wise as ot just 5 mins walk from Darjeeling Mall. Clean cozy rooms along with bed heater. There is also a pretty restaurant in the hotel which serves good food.

Lot of stairs as the hotel is in the basement. Also there was no view from the room. Since it was peak holiday time the room charges also seemed a bit steep.

Location is excellent, very close to Mall Road. Resturant cum bar is top notch. Rooms are good.

No staff member reside in the property, in case of any requirement at night or early morning no one is there to assist. No kettles provided for double bed rooms, for rooms of 4 person kettle is provided. We wanted to check out by 8 am, we didn't find anyone, called as well as sent whatsapp msg to both managers numbers, no one bother to reply. At round 9 am, they turned up. We requested manager to help us carrying the luggage as we had our little daughter to TV tower where our car was waiting, he denied. He even didn't bother to talk while check out, whereas he received us from the same place when we arrived. His behavior is really unprofessional, he delayed our plan of visiting roapway.
