Lovely place with lots to look at and excellent location

No A/C or fan in room

This hotel is a beautiful, historic property. The decorations and common spaces are extraordinary. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was delicious.

Our room was a loft style - requiring climbing up a steep set of stairs, with only a small bed area. Also the ceiling height was a bit low. So if you are physically challenged or tall - You would not want to book this particular room. Also, there was no window, no climate control, and not even a fan - We found the room to be a bit stuffy during the night. Also, the supply and temperature of hot water for showering was minimal.

Perfectly located, in a historical colonial building. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Free parking about 1/2 km from the hotel, though there is reserved temporary parking in front of the hotel for unloading luggage, etc. A delicious breakfast was served! Our room was comfortable and quiet.

We stayed here hooking up with friends who winter here a couple of months. There were no reviews to check when we booked it. The hotel has only been opened 4 months with just 7 rooms. We chose the most expensive and largest. This house has been in a family for centuries and just converted. My guess is from the 1700's as there are books in the library - living room copywrite dates form 1845. I assume much of the furniture and art work were from the family and very old. If you are not into lots of religious art this may not be your place - we loved stepping back in history. Rooms surround a central furnished courtyard open to the sky. Simple fresh breakfast - each morning was different and fresh squeezed juices excellent. No AC - not necessary though can be cold at nights and has gas converted fireplace in each room. The staff was excellent and friendly though English can get you only so far. Break out your Google Translate app! Very quiet due to thick walls and rooms comfortably dark at night. A very good value for the money. Many good small quaint hotels in Patzcuaro and though serendipity I think we got one for the best value.

This is such a gem in Patzcuaro. Definitely a destination hotel. The room we stayed in was unbelievable. Staff is incredibly attentive, food is great and they make you feel like home. Couldn't ask for more. The hotel is half a block from the main square and while the square can be a bustling place at night, at the hotel you don't hear anything. Will definitely come back

The deal of the year! Let's put it like this, for the $100 a night I paid you get a hotel, room, service and style that should be in the $250-300 category! Ezequiel and his fellow staff couldn't have been better.

A former monseñor home converted into a peaceful and beautiful hotel boutique. the bedrooms are quite beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is the best, walking distance from everything. Great stay!
