GBThe hotel itself is nice, the staff when they were present were friendly but that is where the good ends
Upon arriving we were advised the restaurant was shut and has been for 5 years, depsite booking.com advtetising it as being open. Without this we would not have booked this location. So after a 10 hour drive we are told there is no restaurant and all the wellness faciltiies are shut off. On night two there was not a single member of staff on site. As a result of this at 10:30pm myself and my colleagues were woken by an older guest who had just arrived and was trying to check in. He could not access the building without us triggering the internal doors. He tried to no avail to contact a member of staff and all he was given was a code to access a key box that did not work! Without us present I assume he would have slept in his car! I question what would happen in the event of a fire with no staff! Booking.com asked fo my feedback and I duly told them and they asked what compensation I would like. Strangley enough after replying asking for a discount their customer service team have gone missing! Bye Booking.com
GBNo restaurant despite being advertised on booking.com. Closed 5 years ago apparently. Leisure facilities closed. No staff around at all in the evening Nobody able to help a guest that arrived whilst we were in the lobby so we had to help the poor man. If we hadn’t have been there he wouldn’t have been able to get his room key. Or get into the building having driven a long long way. He appreciated our help.
