Hotel Alpbach

Very nice breakfast, overall the hotel was clean.

We had a three person room. In our room, the "wall" between the bathroom and the room was a translucent glass and faced the third bed. The concept for privacy seemed to be almost non-existent. Extremely inappropriate!!! Carefully check the photos on the website. I was told this configuration was specific to three person room, so other rooms may be okay (but I would double check with the hotel before booking). Knowing what I know now, I would never stay at this hotel in THIS room with family even if somebody paid me.

Staff were very courteous and accommodating. Nadine's service was excellent. Provided a ton of information and help. Could accommodate a last minute request for an additional room.

I did not find anything that was unlikeable. We were very satisfied with this place.

Clean, good location, good breakfast

Four months before our stay I booked a “quadruple room “226 square foot” room. It was our 6th night in a hotel on our trip so we wanted to have a night to space out and be comfortable. Unfortunately even though we booked this room, we were given a room with one bed and hardly enough room to put our bags on the floor (pics below!) After getting into our room I went to the front desk and showed them the room I booked and said we must have gotten the wrong room. She said “sorry we are booked full tonight” lol?!? So I guess that means “we can give you whatever room we want”?! I said ok well super annoying but at least we will surely be given a discount.. she said no?! My boyfriend calls booking unsure if we should even stay and they say they will handle it blah blah blah .. then today I got a message saying I should try to contact the property or leave a review and they couldn’t do anything else?.. I am a genius level 3 on here and have booked around 65 nights in hotels through booking plus flights (my boyfriend is also genius level 3 so I’d say about double that) and have never had a problem. We will no longer be booking through this site and warn others to not plan your trip of a lifetime using this hotel or site if you want to have things you pay for promised! Super disappointing.
