The Globe Inn Alvington

Lovely rooms in a great pub.

Used this as a suitable place to stop before and after a trip to Cardiff. It was perfect. We missed the opportunity to stay for dinner but it looked very good. The room was both comfortable and clean. All staff were friendly and efficient.

The room was lovely, perfect for what we needed, and the shower was lush. Facilties were okay, very standard.

The bed needs a new matteress, no breakfast included. The window didn't open, so the room got incredibly hot

Friendly, efficient, clean room, all facilities. Restuarant was busy because food was excellent.

Room was clean and comfy, nice shower , only stayed whilst visiting family .

Dinner was nice, restaurant is mid-priced. Close enough to Forest of Dean which was our main reason to book.

No breakfast available, restaurant opens at midday. Road traffic is noticeable even with closed windows, it was loud-day and night. Noone was there at reception at checkout time, had to give the key to kitchen staff.
