My room was excellent, with great decoration, lovely comfortable bed and, in addition to the ensuite, a slipper bath in the room with lots of hot water to soak my aching bones. Also great to have fresh milk without asking, and freshly made biscuits.

Although I really enjoyed my stay here, I though the room plus dinner costs were full price for one night on a solo walking trip. Beyond that, there was not much to dislike but, if I was being picky, and given the price, I thought that the kitchen could have offered more than a token amount of salad/coleslaw with my dinner.

Good location for tourist attractions. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room clean, temperature/ventilation good. Good coffee tea facilities. Hearty breakfasts. Staff friendly. Overall not a bad stay.

It is situated near a noisy road but they do supply ear plugs.Hot water tap loose in sink, toilet seat peeling, underneath bed hadn't seen a hoover. Musty odour possibly due to the bath in the room.

Everyone was so helpful. Spotlessly clean and just a lovely pub. Breakfast was exceptional

The staff was really nice, and the rooms as well as the pub is really beautiful. excellent food
