"Very good"

8.0

The pub was lovely, a small pub where locals go. The room was really nice it had coffee and tea available. Great location. Staff was really friendly and also had a great selection of beers.

The only thing is the noise as you would expect when the room is just above the pub. We knew this when we booked but also it's next to the pub kitchen which was quite loud too.

"Lovely period property, great decor, super attention to detail from Becky (owner) who was very sweet."

8.0

Lovely old room, tastefully furnished and decorated. Fresh coffee and a cafetiĂšre, which was lovely, softish bed, roomy, place to sit and have coffee by the window. Nice bathroom, good complimentary shower gel etc. Lots of big, plush, white towels.

Shower was pretty dismal, small hard shoot of water or very weak flow if changed setting to a normal shower. Staying above the pub expected it to be noisy at night and we were out for the evening so didn’t bother us at all, but surprised to be woken first thing in the morning, woken up before 8 on a Saturday morning by singing and music and smashing of bottles. Staff seemed to be oblivious to guests staying. Didn’t ruin it but be nice if they could be a bit more thoughtful. Loved the music though so sang along in bed! 😂

"Bad night sleep."

3.0

Good location , friendly staff , room was a good size and was warm enough with plenty of bedding if needed.

Was not made aware when booking the kitchen was right outside our bedroom door, so it was busy till midnight and first thing on Sunday morning....very noisy !!! No complimentary flowers or procecco as many guests had received, and no working plug in sink made washing difficult.

"Beautiful but noisy"

7.0

Excellent location in Lyme Regis. Room is in an interesting old building with a view of the high street. This was quite magical with the Christmas lights when we were there. Short walk to beach, coast path, restaurants etc.

We were expecting noise from the pub, given that this is an inn; however, we did not expect the kitchen of the pub to be upstairs next to the room. We expected noise from customers but were disturbed by the noise of staff running up and down stairs and talking outside our room. The walls were extremely thin and we could hear their every word. This meant that we did not have the privacy we'd hoped for. There was no Wifi, despite the password connecting. I spoke to staff, who said it's because too many people are trying to use it at once. This would not normally be a problem but the room was advertised as having wifi so I had brought my laptop.

"Disappointing, wouldn't return."

3.0

The location was good. And the young lady that greeted us was very good and helpful.

The room decor was tired. The room was located next to the pub/restaurant kitchen which wasn't ideal, bit noisy and cooking smells. The shower wasn't very powerful and mainly ran cold. There was a small plug in radiator which we had to wait for it to heat up, could may be have been on before our arrival as the room was cold. The worse part was the room was directly over the pub bar, which we knew and were prepared for it to be loud, we assumed until about 11.30 as the website states they close at 11pm, however at 10 past midnight I had to ring down to the pub because it was so loud. The landlord said that if we booked to stay above a pub we should expect it, he sounded a bit drunk and was quite rude. He did agree to turn it down, which he did, but only slightly, it was still loud, eventually stopping around 12.40am. I feel this is unacceptable, midnight at the latest.
