Beautiful room in a lively pub, exceptional food

The room was really clean the check is was quick and easy. The room is above the pub as stated and we loved the atmosphere of the pub. The location was perfect right on the high street and a short walk to the promenade. Staff were super friendly and welcoming! Was a lovely stay will definitely be coming back and recommending.

The location was great and the room was lovely. It's above a pub so expect a little noise ... but we loved it and was not an issue at all.

I was fine with the road and bar noise but the squeaky bed drive me mad - every time my husband or I moved it squeaked and woke us up.

This was a lovely place to stay. The staff could not have been better, making us feel extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and a small niggle with the keys was addressed really quickly. The room itself was well appointed, including a small fridge with fresh milk as well as the usual tea/coffee/coffee pod facilities. The room was serviced every day. The location could not have been better, right at the top of the main road (Broad Street) down to the front with shops galore and the local tourist spots all within close walking distance. We had a lovely Sunday lunch here as well.

Local parking was limited, although we managed to grab a spot in the NCP car park nearly opposite whenever we wanted one (tip - download the app to get a discount on parking here). The following are not negatives, more points to consider: the room is above a busy pub and on the same floor as the kitchen so noisy until late. If this is likely to bother you, bring earplugs or book elsewhere! The building is old so no soundproofing or double glazed windows. There is no tv in the room, although as nearly all of us travel with devices I'm not sure this is really a consideration these days. The wifi was good enough to stream without problems.
