Little worn in places. Downstairs closed during visit

the information of how to get in the building didnt get to me til around 6.30pm, by which time id made other arrangements as i didnt want to find myself with nowhere to stay. there was nobody at the place, the pub was shut and nobody was answering the phones. this was around 5.30pm.

Absolutely nothing.

Appalling location, most of the hotel was closed, access to rooms was via a fire escape, no staff at premises to speak to, room double booked leaving us with no where to stay after 9 hours travelling. No response from hotel when contacted via phone.

You offered me a short notice cancellation via email informing me it was a self booking in system there was no food available also no bar...due to a staff shortage.so I took the free no charge cancellation offer to be immediately debited £53.10 from my Account. Numerous attempts were made to call to discuss why you debited my account after ide cancelled but nobody to pick up my calls.

That I feel I've been ripped off and your situation wasn't stated clearly upon booking.

Good price. Free parking. Breakfast available in the car park. Photo shows large breakfast minus the toms, mushrooms, hash browns and bread roll.

The confusion of the name... everything about it suggests it's called the Tap room. The steep stairs to the roof rooms. Could have done with earlier, more obvious warning about how to enter property. Though now I know to make sure I have the booking app and read everything! This of course is not the fault of the property.

The hotel was situated on a one way system with lots of road noise. It was a self check in located up a metal fire escape staircase, I never saw any staff as the pub underneath is closed. A bonus was that there was a sandwich van in the car park which served excellent food.

The room was very dusty, and the hotel only provided hand towels. Luckily, they provided 2, but a bath towel would have been better. Also, on arrival, there was no TV remote, so I was unable to use the TV facility. I left a voice message on the number provided but had no reply.

Budget price

Having booked a budget price with no cancellation option we had to change the reservation date with booking .com. Booking.com were unable to get a response from the hotel and neither were we so we had to book somewhere else. As there was no cancellation option we still had to pay for the room.

Nice cozy room, strong hot shower and soft comfy bed 😊

It is in the middle of 2 main roads, very noisy all night with passing vehicles, police cars ambulance, etc. Can't sleep 😕 😔

suitable for one night, clean and comfortable, very good location.

No side light by the bed.
