"Very enjoyable, would stay again"

Breakfast selection was good. We had Cumbrian breakfast and omelette with toast and tea all very tasty. several other options on offer. Cereal selection , yogurt and juice also available. The room and whole building spotlessly clean. Cask ales brewed on site enjoyable.

Slight criticism our room was a bit "snug" but this wasn't really a problem.

"Poor faculties and rude bar staff."

5.0

The building is quite picturesque and the bed was very comfortable. There is an extremely nice friendly guy who works there who goes out of his way to be helpful. I wish I had got his name to mention him properly.

The room was very small, the shower didn’t work properly, there was no bedside table and no mirror in the bedroom area. The bar is advertised as staying open until 11pm. Despite this, it sometimes closes before this. We were given less than 10 minutes drinking up time after last orders were called. The lights were switched off and the next thing was we were outside in the rain as the hotel has nowhere to sit other than the bar or your room. The woman behind the bar was extremely brusque in chucking people out, clearly in a rush to get home. I would not want to drink there again as they just close when they feel like it.

The Inn is very comfortable in its locale. Fabulous atmosphere in the bars. Good pub food. Filling cooked breakfast (proper sausages!). Beers are home grown and excellent - and good value. And a pub quiz!

Rooms are quite basic ... But functional and clean. Bed comfortable.

"Very friendly staff, great breakfast and good location"

Away from the crowds in Windermere, only a 10 minute drive. Clean room, was a little small but we did have the outside terrace which was lovely.

What a gem of a place. Tucked out of the way The Watermill Inn & Brewery is a great place to stay and eat at. We had the last room available which was a family room. One double, one single bed. A good size room. Bathroom was a shower, good size. The room and bathroom was clean and beds comfy. We had booked an evening meal and it was beautiful with very generous servings. Sadly no room left for desert. The restaurant and pub area got very busy so I would advise booking for evening meals. We stayed Thursday to Friday. Breakfast was equally as good as the evening meal with all the choices for help yourself and cooked food. The staff are really friendly and nothing was any trouble. A great place to stay. We had a walk in the morning after checking out. The sound of the watermill and the neighbouring sheep is idyllic. Then on to our next place. Thanks for a lovely stop over.

There wasn't anything we didn't like about our stay here at The Watermill Inn & Brewery
