The Plough Inn Boddington

We were using the Plough as a base to sleep in over Xmas as my brother in the next village had run out of room at his house. Just the job for that. Room was comfy and access when the pub was closed was easy. The DIY breakfast was adequate for a hot drink and bit of toast before we left each morning but don't expect too much. Real ale in the bar was top notch!

Fairly noisy when the pub was open, but that is to be expected at a very popular local drinking spot. All quiet shortly after 23.00. The shower in our room did the job but was a bit weak.

We have stayed before so knew what to expect and we weren't disappointed. Dinner was really nice, the room had everything we needed and breakfast was excellent.

We thought 6 pm was a little late for check-in but it was explained that the pub doesn't open until 5.30pm. The shower leaked onto the floor a little but on leaving, there was nobody around to report it to.

Friendly staff, lovely rural location.

The rooms were large clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

The check in time on booking.com was 12.00 to 13.00. Sadly the pub did not open until 16.00. The times on the booking.com website are incorrect. I had to check with the pub website to find out it's opening hours.
