Lower Turks Head

Location was perfect as i came in by couch and the hotel is directly opposite Shudehill bus station. Staff were very helpful. The room was basic but it is cheap and I only needed somewhere to sleep. Clean bedding and towels. A decent check out time (11am) so I could sleep off my hangover.

I don't know why there is a glass shelf directly above the small sink! It is very difficult to wash your face and clean your teeth with a shelf in the way. also it is impossible to get the kettle to the tap - i had to use the cup to fill the kettle!

The selling point of this spot is location - extremely central for Manchester exploration.

The balcony backs up to the exhaust from the chicken shop fryer next door and it was absolutely suffocating.

Centrally located in the heart of Manchester, above a vibrant pub on a lively street. Ideal for those who want to enjoy the city's energy and don’t plan on turning in early.

The whole vibe and convenience of the place.

The room was unbearably hot all through the night. I could not rest the sweat was dripping off me and couldn,t find a way to turn the heating down.

Staff were great.

Shower hot tap was freezing even though hot tap in since was roasting. I got in quite late from my night out at 11.30pm and there was constant noise until 3am, whether this was coming from another customer in the Turks Head or building next door I don't know.
