They procure vegetarian breakfast from homes or eateries nearby. They source from people who provide clean and nutritious food. It's better to stick to traditional South Indian dishes like idli, vada, dosa, upma, etc for breakfast.

The access roads and surroundings were a bit rough

The property was a little haven, located in a silent enclosure. It gave us all the space and comfort to have a moment of rest and rejuvenation. Balaji's warmth and generosity made the place very special. He and his wife were very helpful and shared great recommendations for temple visits and places to eat. Next time we are in Kumbakonam, we hope to stay there again.

One of the most comfortable stays we had. Had a 3 year old & a 75 year old lady with us. The owner Balaji & Bhuvana made sure to make everything comfortable for us. The hospitality is world class. The rooms are very well maintained. Rooms were quiet as well and the hosts accommodated some of our specific needs. We asked them for blackout curtains and they made sure accomodate those for us. We will definitely be staying here again if we are back in Kumbakonam & recommending the place to others P.S - also consider asking Mr. Balaji for his recommendations on temples, places to eat and anything else Kumbakonam. He also doubles up as a great Kumbakonam local guide!

Though we didn’t need it, a fridge would have been a good add on and maybe useful for summer months Blackout curtains would have been a great add on

The host Mr Balaji is very helpful. He makes sure you get personal attention, starting from guiding direction, sharing tips of local tourist attractions. The hotel is minimalistic, neat and clean. Very much recommended for families

Mr. Balaji and his wife were very welcoming and treated us as family rather than customers. It started from before our arrival. I had enquired regarding travel services for driver and guide. In response, Mr. Balaji Whatsapped me several times with proposed itineraries and other suggestions. Because I was already traveling, I lost track of time and put it off. Luckily Mr. Balaji proactively contacted me and helped us with all the arrangements last minute. They also provide meal services for dinner, breakfast and afternoon tea. But what made Mr. and Mrs. Balaji stand out was an unforseen event. My sister suddenly had an allergic reaction late at night. I asked Mr. Balaji to order a taxi for us so that we can go to the nearest hospital. Mr. Balaji immediately arranged for an employee to drive us, and also insisted on coming along. Both he and his employee were with us at the hospital for the several hours. They weren't just there to drop us off; they were our advocates. They actively went up to the doctors and nurses on our behalf, made sure that my sister received care, then lined up for us at the pharmacy to get the medication and again at the cashier for payment. Without them, we would have been lost because the process was not intuitive and totally different from what we are used to in the US. The hospital was chaotic with no clear order...just crowds of people swarming around. We really appreciate everything Mr. and Mrs. Balaji did for us. They are wonderful people and very kind. Mr. Balaji refused to accept any money for his help, saying that he has a responsibility to us as we were his guest. I feel very fortunate that we were able to meet them. They are the best human beings.
