"Quiet stay in friendly country pub"

Location: quiet pub outside Flaxton village, convenient for York and close to the A64 main road.. The room was large for single occupancy, with comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. Excellent (full English) breakfast. Friendly and helpful hosts. Easy parking.

The shower was a bit underpowered, and perhaps there is plenty of room for a bath? That's a very minor quibble, and the only thing I can think of.

We were attending a family wedding we got a lift to the venue with some other guests. However, Stuart would have been more than happy to take us/pick us up if we had required it very friendly staff

There wasn’t anything to dislike. Thompsons Arms is located in beautiful countryside and village
