Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Clean room Great pub downstairs. Free parking

*Ensuite bathroom light was broken so we had to use a bathroom down the corridor. *No dressing table or mirror to get ready in bedroom. *Mattress was very uncomfortable. *Someone was smoking outside our bedroom window, so we had to shut our windows. *The chef was lovely and brought us a lovely breakfast but stunk of cigarettes.

The service was very friendly, helpful and polite. 😊

There was a humming noise during the night, I think from the boiler. It was a bit distracting, but nothing too major.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was warm, clean and comfortable, everything we were looking for.

When we left...

The corridor to the rooms smelt disgusting with a dirty carpet and old front doors repurposed as internal doors, some of them with visible damage to them. The photographer who was hired to take photos of the rooms has done an incredible job of making the rooms look cosy and serviceable, whereas in reality there was a wardrobe with a missing doorknob, multiple broken light fittings with some missing bulbs completely, moldy bathroom windows and a lumpy old mattress. As we were staying on a Saturday night you could also hear the drunken karaoke from the room until the early hours.

Food was delicious. Staff very friendly. Room towels and bed linen very clean. Room a little tired but was clean and spacious. Pub obviously well supported by locals which was great to see.

Kitchen extractor was noisy. Kitchen noises were very loud, which also included the radio on at 7am on a Sunday morning. Mattress on the bed offered no support.
